摘    要:本文考察了视觉加工对英语母语者汉语声调产出的影响,并引入多模态学习理论通过不同的实验任务考察了视觉加工影响学习者声调产出的内在机制,研究表明:(1)在延时测试中,对零起点汉语学习者来说。三周的视听知觉训练没有显著改善学习者的声调产出;(2)对于低水平汉语学习者来说.即时呈现教师的手势可以引导学习者发音器官的运动,可用于课堂上的即时纠音。对于高水平学习者来说,由于四个声调的发音模式已经建立并固定下来,不易受教师手势的干扰。

Abstract:This study investigates the effectiveness of visual processing on tone production by native English-speaking learners of Chinese. Experiment 1 compares the effects of the two training methods on tone production. The result shows no significant difference between the two methods. In order to explore the mechanism of visual processing on tone production, Experiment 2 introduces multimodal learning theory. The study shows that, for elementary level learners of Chinese, teachers' gestures can be used to instantly correct students' mistakes by providing articulation instructions. However, as the pronunciation model of four tones has been established and fixed, high level learners of Chinese are not easily influ- enced by those gestures.
