| 摘 要： | 办学理念是贯穿在治学、办学始终的一种教育思想、发展观念和实践精神。前瞻性、科学性的办学理念是大学迅速发展的关键所在。英国华威大学作为一所年轻的学府,虽然创校不足50年,却在国际高等教育界铸就一份独有的辉煌,而这一切都归功于华威特有的办学理念。以华威大学办学理念为基点进行分析,深入探讨了科学研究导向、以学科为中心的创收理念等对其产生的重要影响。华威大学的办学理念对我国高水平大学的发展有着重要的借鉴意义。
