摘    要:隐喻是人们思维、行动和表达思想的一种系统的方式,隐喻性思维是人们认识世界的根本方法之一,其中的空间隐喻则是人类认知中最重要、最基本的一个认知领域,是语言中最为基本的隐喻类型。空间隐喻既是语言现象,又透析了一种思维现象,它对于英语词汇教学具有一定的启发意义。

Abstract:Metaphor is a systematical mode of human thinking,action and expression of ideas.Metaphorical thinking is one of the fundamental ways for human beings to know about the world.Among this domain,spatial metaphor is the most important and basic cognitive part in human cognition,and is also the basic metaphorical type in human language.Spatial metaphor is a language phenomenon and a thinking phenomenon as well,and has a significant implicature for English vocabulary teaching.
