| 摘 要： | 直译和意译是英汉翻译中的两种最基本的方法,直译强调内容和形式的双重对应,即不但在内容上也在形式上更忠实地反映原文。而意译则不强调形式,也不强调字面的内容,而强调“精神实质”的一致性。真正好的翻译者应该懂得在翻译工作中如何把两种翻译方法有机地结合起来。

| Abstract: | Literal translation and free translation are two basic ways of English-Chinese translation.Literal translation emphasizes the double corresponding in content and form.That is to say,the translation should reflect the original more loyally not only in content but in form.However,free translation does not attach importance to form and literal meaning.It pays more attention to the consistence of spiritual essence.A really efficient translator should understand how to adopt the two flexibly in translation tasks. |
