原型范畴理论与英语词汇教学

摘    要:原型范畴理论是认知语言学中最重要的范畴理论之一,它兼容了经典范畴和家族相似范畴观的优点,它所体现的原型效应为基本层次范畴和多义范畴研究提供了理据.本文拟就原型范畴理论的起源与发展进行概括,探讨原型范畴理论在语言学研究中的意义以及在英语词汇教学中的应用.

Abstract:The theory of prototype remains a focus in cognitive linguistics,which is a perfect integration of classical prototype and family resemblance theory.The paper reviews the development of category theories and their features to demonstrate the value of prototype theory and its contribution to the study of cognitive linguistics,and its application in the English lexical Learning and Teaching.
