| Abstract: | One difference between blogs and traditional print columns is that blogs often create a sense of community among readers, while also helping readers in the task of self-definition. Columns seldom do these things, but do offer some writers a medium to develop over time a distinctive voice and point of view. Molly Ivins, the late political columnist, was one example. |
