| Abstract: | Digital library is a distributed information system based on the Internet,its architecture design is one of the key factors that affect the system reliability and performance.This article describes the general architecture for the digital library,and discusses and analyses two kinds of architecture which are Fully Distributed System Architecture and An Architecture with Master Index for Digital Library through case studies.An Architecture with Master Index for Digital Libraries can provide better system reliability and performance than Fully Distributed System Architecture can do. |
