| Abstract: | This paper utilizes the famous search system SCIE to describe quantitatively the output of oceanography theses published in countries all over the world and China and analyses their distribution by means of subjects, countries, time and geographic locations. Then it further evaluates the research situation of oceanography in the People's Republic of China and its international status in this field. |
