| Abstract: | The article introduces briefly the account of Nie Chongqi's life and his great contribution to the Harvard-Yenching Institute Sinological Index Series and Franco-Chinese Sinology Study Center Index Series. The authors points out that Nie Chongqi not only played a key role in compiling the two index series, but also was an important figure in the history of modern index compilation. |
