| Abstract: | When Yuan Tongli was the director of National Library of Beiping from 1928 to 1937,he attached great importance to the academic research in the library.He not only conducted research himself,but also encouraged his colleagues to do it.He offered higher salaries,created opportunities for the librarians to go abroad for further education,and helped his colleagues to publish their works.The above-mentioned measures enhanced the librarians’ enthusiasm to do researches.Consequently,great academic achievement was achieved and many world-known scholars were born. |
