| Abstract: | Carnegie Mellon University＇s 1NFORMEDIA Digital Video Library is one of six original Digital Libraries Initiative projects in USA since 1994. Its overarching goal is to enable users to achieve machine understanding of video and film media, including all aspects of search, retrieval, visualization and summarization in both contemporaneous and archival content collections. This review examines various aspects of the library, including the project＇s background, organization of resources, technologies, and service features. Authors＇ comments are also given. |
