| Abstract: | The basic knowledge and the recent development of Shanghai science and technology (sci-tech) academic journals were overviewed in detail. The overall picture of Shanghai sci-tech academic journals, includingdiscipline classification, launching dates, publication periods, location of departments in charge and sponsorship, and personnel composition, was firstly identified. Secondly, the major modes of publishing transformation of Shanghai sci-tech academic journals were classified and summarized. Thirdly, the database coverage information and the awards and project sponsorships of Shanghai sci-tech academic journals were analyzed. Finally, suggestions were proposed for the development of Shanghai sci-tech academic journals. |
