| 摘 要： | 医学科学的高度分化,促使医药卫生学术期刊向专科化发展,这给综合性医学期刊带来了严重危机.综合性医学期刊只有适应现代医学发展的形势,重新审视自己的内容定位、作者定位、读者定位,正视"作者分流,稿源不足;读者分流,发行下滑;广告分流,经济下降"等问题,要发挥优势,突出"综合",体现特色,才能办好.

| Abstract: | The highly sub-specializations in the medical disciplines have brought forth a proliferation of specialty medical journals. This is a welcome opportun ity but also poses a serious challenge for the general medicine journals providi ng comprehensive coverage. General medicine journals must adapt to the evolving requirements of modern publishing, grasp opportunities and rise over difficultie s to attract quality contributors and readership. However, faced with dwindling authorships which lead to reduced top-notched research and thereof, further e rosion of readership and advertorial income, will further push for an even more comprehensive coverage of general medicine. Conversely, with more specialization that a journal becomes, it may lead to more demand for general medicine journal s. Therefore general medicine journals should seize the opportunity making good use of its leverage to provide to reader's choices and emphasis on comprehensive coverage, focusing on topical issues with a strong support for promising resear ch. General medicine journals should also emphasize clear modern print and editi ng blueprints to reflect the multi-facet aspects of research not found in speci alty medical journals. |
