| Abstract: | This paper analyses the informatization phenomenon from a critical perspective. It forwards that an agricultural society in the Information Age becomes disadvantaged given that the world is one economic organism. The author argues that developing nations are hardest hit by the social consequences of the Information Age. He describes the case of how the information sector has benefited from so‐called agricultural development programmes at the expense of the farmer. The author presents a conceptual framework of the informatization of agriculture. |
