| 摘 要： | 国外图书馆与情报学（LIS）形成于20世纪70年代，是此前的图书馆学与新生的情报学相结合的产物。分析这个学科中两个组成部分的使命与视域，揭示它们走向融合的基础。目前LIS的中文名称——图书馆与情报科学、图书馆与情报学、图书馆情报学、图书馆资讯学、现代图书馆学——还令人无所适从，但比名称更重要的，是认识到这是一个融贯的、统一的学科，有其统一的且不同于其他学科的使命和视域。

| Abstract: | Library and Information Science (LIS) as a single integrated discipline began to take shape in the 1970s consequent of the incorporation of “Information Science” elements into library science curriculum by an increasing number of library schools. This paper discusses the shared mission and perspective of the two parts in LIS, and argues that it is their shared mission and perspective that lends the legitimacy to their merge and underpins the integrity of the resulting LIS as one discipline. |
