| Abstract: | Integrated information retrieval system is an important form of Web integration system. Resource selection is one of key technologies in the integrated information retrieval system. The paper introduces the main ideas and algorithms of the four main resource selection technologies available, which are technologies based on resource relevent ranking, relevant document distribution, retrieval cost estimate and databases hierarchical structure, respectively. Then it introduces typical algorithms of each technology, in addition, it analyzes and evaluates resource selection technologies nowadays. |
