| 摘 要： | 针对中美恢复外交关系以来两国图书馆界交流与合作进行全面历史回顾与总结，统计与分析两国图书馆交流与合作的主体、方式和内容等，指出其中的交流主体主要包括政府部门、民间团体和个人三种，交流方式包括互派留学、学术互访、事业考察、参加和举办国际会议、译作、书刊交换以及项目合作等。籍此总结两国图书馆界交流与合作的主要成绩，即历史条件与背景不断趋向和平、稳定、平等、自由和开放的环境，双向交流机制逐渐形成与完善，民间社团形式在中美图书馆交流中占主导地位，主要交流与合作群体逐渐形成等。

| Abstract: | This paper makes a history review of exchange and cooperation between China and United States in library fields since 1979. It firstly explains the major participants, means and contents of the exchange and cooperation between two countries?libraries. The major participants mainly comprise governments, non-governmental organizations and individuals. There are about six means of exchange, such as studying aboard, friendly tours, visits, inspections and academic exchanges abroad, organizing and attending the international conference, translation, books exchange and so on. Then, by summing up the main achievements of the work, the paper points out that the backgrounds and conditions of exchange and cooperation become more and more better, bilateral exchange mechanism is gradually improved, non-governmental organizations are playing leading roles, and that the main exchange groups are coming into being. |
