| Abstract: | ??Ever since the concept of "document resource development" was pat forward, there have been disagreements as to its rela- tivrtships with "coilectian building" resulting in the confusion in the use of ihe}two concepts. The paper, through examining the evolution and the historic limits of the concept of "collectian building", analyses the background and The influence of tire concept of"document resource development"??and points out the inevitable historic trend of the substitution of "document resource develvptnant" for "cnilectivn building" It also .redefines the concept of 0dpcument rcsvurce development" and lays a logic faun- datian for the document resource development theory. |
