| Abstract: | This article was a lecture given by Liu Guojun in training classes of Beijing Library on February 27,1957, In this lecture, he indicated the objects, tasks and methods of research of library science, and expounded the significance, role and working contents of library. He discussed the research fields and content system of library science, the imbalance of the development of library science branches, the relations between library science and bibliography, He also analyzed the dependent relationship between library science and library practice. |
