| Abstract: | A brief introduction is given to the current situation of citation analysis at home and abroad. Aiming at different objects and targets of citation analysis, a discussion is made on the contents of citation analysis respectively for the study of one kind of periodicals and comparison of different kinds of periodicals, and the means for selection of corresponding samples for study and analytical indexes are also introduced. Besides, the research probes into the numerical characteristics and inherent laws of periodical citation related to each analytical index, so as to reveal the information value of citation analysis. |
