| Abstract: | Problems of book numbers have repeatedly become a heated argument in the Chinese library and information world.The author believes that the function of book numbers is single,that is,the differentiation of a group of books with same classification numbers in order of priority.It is inevitable that there are duplicate numbers in the author table,yet attention should be paid to finding a simple and convenient method to solve the problem of duplicate numbers.Stress should be laid on combining the scientific nature with the paractical natrue in preparing the author table,especially its operativity.ref.3 |
