| Abstract: | The author considers that one should not agree with Mr. Su Guoming on the viewpoint Su holds in his articles "Change the Library into a Book Rental" published in the "Bulletin of the Lbirary Science in China" No 4, 1993, because the artcle goes against the basic spirit that libraries would give free services and lay stress on social benefits,yet the paid service will produce bad effects on the nature, function, collection composition and reader service of the lbirary. |
