| Abstract: | Establishing a scientific and reasonable system of indicators for the evaluation of
database resources will facilitate the optimization and development of library database resources. The
system should include five first-class indicators, i. e. the contents of the databases, the functions of
the search systems, use rates, performance-cost rates and database services, and also several second-
