Many foreign language teachers are often wondering why their students cannot avoid some mistakes in their writing assignment and oral presentations though the grammatical rules and phrases are quite familiar to them. On the other hand students also complain about the boredom of learning English."What is the use of learning English besides taking exams?"they often ask. In this paper the author is going to discuss language learning and teaching from the cultural perspective. By discussing the importance of culture teaching, the author intends to help both the teachers and the students to get out of their bewilderment. The conversion of biomass into valuable chemicals has promise for application in biorefineries.Light-driven photoredox catalysis,with the typical features of green route and operation under mild conditions,is considered a promising strategy for renewable biomass or biomass-derived intermediates conversion into high-value-added chemical feedstocks.In this review,we strongly emphasize the recent advances in photocatalytic valorization of lignin model compounds and biomassderived alcohols.We briefly summarize the advances in photocatalytic cleavage of the β-O-4 bond or C-C bond into us able chemicals in the lignin model.On the other hand,we clarify not only the hybrid system for cooperative biomass-relevant alcohols oxidation and hydrogen(H_2) evolution but also the tunable accessibility to variation of the target products from the same alcohol reactant by catalyst design and optimization of reaction conditions.It is hoped that this review will inspire the rational design of photoredox catalysis-based systems toward efficient biomass-derived platform molecules valorization to obtain target-oriented valuable products. 相似文献

Gary Snyder is a famous American poet in the 1960s.His works often reflect Zen thought,which highly influenced the Beat Generation of that time,and even the whole western society.This article attempts to discuss some of the possible aspects in which Snyder’s Zen diverts from Chinese Zen thought.To find out the answer,four of Snyder’s poetry collections were mainly consulted,as well as information about the environment that he’d been living in.The discrepancy this article will show case is three-folded:first,what Snyder pursued might be"square Zen",which is different from Chinese Zen;second,his poems integrated some ideas from Indian folklores,thus contradicting that of Zen;third,giving consideration to his western background and specific historical environment,he might misinterpret Chinese Zen thought unconsciously or intentionally.This is an area which so far no current studies about Snyder have probed into,so the results are just tentative and exploratory. 相似文献

Feedback has been one of the important elements of learning and teaching theories and still pervades the literature and instructional models, especially computer and web-based ones. However, the mechanisms about feedback dominating the fundamentals of all the instructional models designed for self-learning have changed considerably with the interactive multimedia technology of today, which have recourse to a wider range of potential in terms of use and functionality. The study intends to indicate that feedback has double functions： On one hand, it has classic ＂triad＂ functions--feedback as motivator, reinforcement and information--in terms of computer-assisted instruction and, on the other hand, as it is emphasized in this study, it forms the core and maintains the continuity of the machine-learner interaction in multimedia software designed today. Why is Norway, the first nation in the world defining digital literacy, as the fifth basic competence in the national curriculum？ How has epistemological and ontological issues influenced educational technology and how has this influenced discourse of educational technology in curricula which have led to today＇s ＂technology friendly curriculum＂？ These are central questions in this paper and one of the main aims within the paper is to analyze what kind of impacts, such underlying epistemological and ontological aspect, has been given in Norwegian curricula throughout the last decades in light of Koschmann＇s （1996） technological paradigms. As consequence of this, the paper will highlight the most relevant discourses about educational technology in different curricula as an entry point to ask, if the increased ICT （Information and Communication Technology） status in the new national curriculum has established new discourses and got any impact in the practice field yet. 相似文献

This paper first introduced the main contents of the movie:Forrest Gump.On one hand,the movie advocates truth as well as honesty.It tries to help people to get rid of the alienation of modern civilization,and find the true beauty of human nature.On the other hand it makes the movie a classic of contemporary American culture.The essay made some analysis to the years and events which the movie has talked about.Then by detailed analyzing of the main character:Jenny,and the comparison between Jenny and Forrest,their different fates and the values they represent,the paper highlighted the different destiny caused by the values they hold and showed that they were strongly influenced by the mixture of culture values of that period.At last,with the combination of the main characters Jenny and Forrest,it indicates that different life values have melted into one,and the subculture finally gave way to the main culture. 相似文献

The translation of road names from Chinese into English applies no specific standards up to date. Whether the roads should be re ferred in accordance with the nearby position or some symbolic buildings or simply be represented by a phonetic pronunciation which has no specific meaning in English has provoked some heated discussion. In this paper I employ the skopos theory and other relevant theories to put forward a new perspective of translating road and street names, with same emphasis on that of generic name and on specific name. Some illustrations will be made on the defects of the writing standard set by relevant Chinese laws and regulations as well as resolutions of the United Nations Conference on the Standardization of Geographical Names, i.e. the adoption of a Single Romanization System, and Lu to be the generic name in China’s case. Also, I will further probe the existing translations of road and street names in major Chinese cities, most of which to be Road, either go against relevant laws or fail to inform foreign visitors. Finally, I will come up with the suggestion of ap plication of a combination of Lu and Road in translation of road and street names in accordance with functional approaches. 相似文献

Ambiguity in newspaper headlines have been studied by many people, which mostly focuses upon the traditional linguistics perspective: lexical, grammatical and syntactical. In this paper, the author intends to study the ambiguity in newspaper headlines from the cognitive perspective in order to find how people perceive the ambiguous headlines. To support the analysis, many examples of ambiguous headlines are collected to investigate into way people perceive them. Finally, the author concluded that in the cognitive perspective, people are prone to accept one of the two or more interpretations about the ambiguous headlines according to the following factors: their back ground knowledge, the common sense, the social-cultural environment as well as their personal altitudes, which are drawn upon from the image schema theory. 相似文献
