Infants with 0-3 Apgar scores at 1 minute had significantly lower 8-month mental and motor scores than infants with 7-10 scores and significantly lower mental but not motor scores than infants with 4-6 Apgar scores. Correlations indicated significant relationships (independent of birth weight) between Apgar scores and Bayley mental and motor scores for random, Colored Portuguese, and total samples but not for Negroes and whites. Results demonstrated a significant difference in Apgar scores by 8-month classifications with significantly lower scores for children classified as abnormal, and by longevity with significantly lower scores for neonates who died within 2 days. 相似文献

This exploratory study examines the experiences of 20 gay and lesbian students and their involvement in a gay and lesbian Society at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. This study occurred under the theoretical framework of McCarn and Fassinger’s (1996) model of sexual minority identity formation. Participants ranged in age from 20–31 years old and included 17 men and three women. Eighteen were White, 1 was Colored, and 1 was Euro-Asian. Participants discussed positive and negative effects of belonging to the Society, counseling services available on campus, patterns of victimization, and cultural norms regarding gay men and lesbians in South Africa. Recommendations for counselors, staff, educators, and administrators are provided. 相似文献

目的:探讨动脉粥样硬化性颈动脉狭窄、颅内大脑中动脉狭窄与急性脑梗死的关系及脑梗死复发原因.方法:采用多普勒超声对136例急性脑梗死患者进行颅内外动脉检测,并对随访期间复发患者进行动脉彩色多普勒超声检测分析.结果:136例脑梗死患者大脑中动脉狭窄42例,颈动脉中、重度狭窄12例.随访期内脑梗死复发26例,其中颈动脉中、重度狭窄10例.结论:急性脑梗死与大脑中动脉严重狭窄者密切相关,复发性脑梗死与颈动脉狭窄密切相关. 相似文献

晚清时期,五彩石印技术开始传入上海,其制版方法主要有"毛石"与"光石"两种,用于印制钱票、月份牌、仿单、舆图及书画等物,当时较为著名的五彩石印书局,有富文阁、肇记、中西、藻文等十数家.民国初年,上海五彩石印业成立了自己的同业组织,对彩印价格、公平竞争等事项进行了规范.从印刷史的角度而言,五彩石印术,充当了传统木版套色印刷与现代彩色胶印之间的过渡桥梁. 相似文献

This article advances a rhetorical theory of deixis, a theoretical and methodological orientation that infuses the linguistic concept of deixis with rhetorical understandings of ethos, place, and time. Deixis reveals the rhetorical dynamics within the fabric of spoken discourse, dynamics that often refer to what is outside the text to make sense of what is within it. Ultimately, I argue that identifying the deictic indicators within a speech text enables the critic to pinpoint where, how, and why a speaker activates the physical elements of the speech situation as a material means of persuasion. After outlining the theoretical tenets of this approach, I analyze Harry S. Truman's Address to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People on June 29, 1947, to show how a rhetorical theory of deixis orients the critic to the bodies, places, and temporalities implied in and displayed through speech. 相似文献
