The second-order effect is the interaction between the vertical load and the deformation in a vertically forced element. In order to deduce a more brief but practical method, which has considered the second-order effect in a sway frame, some factors which affect the second-order deformation in a sway frame should be generalized based on a more accurate method. Nonlinear finite element is adopted in this paper, and according to this theory, a program, which can calculate the inner force and the deformation of the sway frame considering the second-order effects is coded. 相似文献

This article compares film and text with regard to effects produced by the order in which conflicting information is presented.
Film is more influential and better recalled than conflicting text information, regardless of the order in which media appear.
Conflicting paragraphs produce a primacy effect, whereas analogous film segments produce no order effect. Results are interpreted

This paper investigates the effect of family size and birth order on educational attainment. An instrumental variables approach is used to identify the effect of family size. Instruments for the number of children are twins at last birth and the sex mix of the first two children. The effect of birth order is identified, by examining the relation with years of education for different family sizes separately. No significant effect of family size on educational attainment of the oldest child is found. Birth order has a significant negative effect. Potential mechanisms behind the birth order effects are investigated. The results show that birth order effects are not affected by the average age gap between children. Information on financial transfers shows that earlier born children have a higher probability of receiving money from their parents than later born children, also the amount they receive is higher. These results indicate that the allocation of parental resources is a potential mechanism behind the birth order effects. 相似文献

It was hypothesized that age differences in use of intent information in children's moral judgments might be due to a recency effect in the judgments of younger children. A study was conducted to examine the effect of order of stimulus presentation on children's moral judgments. The information was presented to children, ages 4-5 and 8-9 years old, through stories with either normal information order, intent-consequence, or reversed order, consequence-intent. It was found that order has a significant impact on children's moral judgments. In addition, memory data were gathered which indicated that the pattern of forgetting was parallel to the pattern of information preference for the younger subjects. The findings suggested that younger subjects' relative neglect of intent in the normal order of information was based, in part, on their failure to remember the material correctly rather than on differential weighting of the 2 cues. 相似文献

知觉干扰效应是更残缺刺激的呈现使部分残缺的同一刺激的识别发生困难。实验采用汉语八字成语为识别材料。实验一考察呈现顺序对知觉干扰效应的影响,实验二考察残缺方式对知觉干扰效应的影响。研究发现：（1）残缺成语在顺行递进、逆行递进和随机递进下的识别不存在知觉干扰效应;（2）成语在高斯、像素爆炸和传播三种残缺方式下的识别均存在显著的知觉干扰效应。 相似文献
