In preparation for implementation of Part H of P.L. 99-457, the Indiana early intervention workforce was surveyed to determine the current status of the workforce and identify implications for policy making. A sample of 837 respondents generated information about the types of personnel providing services, their qualifications, compensation, and longevity in the field. Turnover rates for the personnel categories surveyed were also obtained. Education and licensure for teachers and aides showed considerable variation, with some personnel having training in areas related to early intervention and many with training in unrelated areas. Striking differences were seen in compensation favoring public school personnel over personnel employed in other types of agencies. Personnel turnover rates were high, averaging 30%. The data indicate the need for early intervention training programs and equitable compensation of trained personnel if Indiana, and presumably other states, are to meet the mandate of P.L. 99-457, Part H. The most critical needs are to develop strategies to attract, train, and support specialized early intervention personnel from a wide variety of disciplines.  相似文献

运用“增值”评量方法能增强学校效能评估的效度,同时也为教育评估提供了有关的新理念。进行“增值”评量时,有必要收集学生的学习成绩、学生的学习能力基线、学校背景和情境信息、学校教育环境信息等。在研究学校效能的领域里比较常用的几种统计分析方法各有其优缺点。为得到学校的真实情况,需要分析不同类型“增值”评量指标。有关人员需了解“增值”评量方法的局限性,以做到有效使用。一个旨在促进学校评价方法创新和学校教学质量提高的中一英合作“增值”评量试验项目正在中国进行。  相似文献

目前天津各职业院校每年进行人事考核时仍采用纸介质人工考核的方法,考核过程效率低下。为解决这一问题,开发了基于Web的职校人事考核系统,以提供资料在线提交、计算机辅助考核评定、考核结果实时反馈及信息交互等服务。系统分为用户登录模块、教师信息管理模块和考核人员管理模块,实现了从教师提交维护信息,到负责人集中考核,最终公布和查看考核结果的全部功能。解决了考核前、考核中的权限问题,考核后的信息导出和备份等问题。  相似文献

This article contains an analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data about the perception of both parents and school personnel on parents' participation at different levels of school activities. Findings indicated that most of the school personnel demonstrated unwelcome attitudes towards parent involvement and parents themselves did not like to become school managers either. Both of them expressed the intention of separate responsibilities in school management. It is recommended that schools should develop a school-based strategy to promote home-school cooperation. Besides, there is a need to establish parent schools to educate parents in their rights and responsibilities in participating in school education.  相似文献

The present study examined kindergarten to Year Two teachers' responses to concern about classroom misbehavior in terms of (a) support they access, (b) strategies they use, and (c) information they require to more effectively deal with misbehavior. The extent to which teachers' confidence in behavior management mediated the relationship between students' misbehavior and a, b, and c was also examined. Results indicated that concern about their students' misbehavior was negatively associated with teachers' confidence. Concern about misbehavior was positively associated with the use of school‐based support. Concern about misbehavior was positively associated with the use of non‐physical punishment and referral of the student to other school personnel. In relation to information needs, concern about students' misbehavior was most strongly associated with the need for specific information on how to deal with misbehavior and, to a lesser extent, associated with the need for positively‐focused and teacher‐focused information. Teachers' confidence mediated the relationship between misbehavior concerns and the tendency to refer the child to other school personnel. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Many students who have sustained concussions return to school requiring academic adjustments while their brains heal. However, school personnel often are not trained to accommodate these students. This exploratory project examined the usefulness of school-based training paired with ongoing consultation and continued dissemination of information to improve both concussion recognition and response among school personnel. A case study design was employed in which a school district received training that was followed by ongoing consultation and continued dissemination of concussion resources. This study highlights the importance of involving school psychologists in concussion management programs.  相似文献

In recent years the educational policy environment has emphasised data-driven change. This has increased the expectation for school personnel to use statistical information to inform their programs and to improve teaching practices. Such data include system reports of student achievement tests and socio-economic profiles provided to schools by various state education departments’ data services. This paper reports on a pilot study that explored factors affecting Mathematics and English teachers’ intentions to engage with the statistical data their schools receive and to consider these data when making decisions about their teaching practices. It was found that most teachers perceived that such data identify weak students and some teachers (mostly mathematics teachers) thought that they can help to identify curriculum topics that need attention. Most teachers felt that the reports were not easy to understand. Confidence in dealing with statistical data was a problem for many teachers, but especially for English teachers.  相似文献

The present study examined the relationship between the psychological evaluation reports of test examiners and the referral questions of classroom teachers. It was hypothesized that there would be an interaction between examiners' reporting of test data and the information that was received from school personnel. Data were analyzed using a 2 X 2 chi square analysis. Results indicated a biasing effect when examiners were knowledgeable about the reasons for referral.  相似文献

高校档案管理工作中存在较多的问题。主要有档案管理不规范、管理方法落后、档案资料不真实、档案内容信息不足。造成这些问题的原因主要是:观念陈旧、素质跟不上时代要求、档案出现新的情况。解决这些问题要转变人事档案管理的观念;建立健全人事档案管理制度,促进档案管理工作的科学化与规范化;建立档案数据库存,促进档案工作信息化建设;提高档案管理人员素质,增强人事档案开发技术力量。  相似文献

基于性能化防火设计的研究思路,以A教学楼为例,讨论了教学楼现有疏散设施是否符合火灾场景下人员疏散要求。运用火灾模拟软件PyroSim建立火灾模型,得出影响疏散的温度、能见度、烟气的运动规律,选取最不利因素,确定可用安全疏散时间(ASET)。通过人员疏散软件Pathfinder模拟人员疏散路径,得出所需安全疏散时间(RSET)。研究结果表明,PyroSim与Pathfinder能有效的模拟火灾下人员疏散规律,A教学楼不能满足疏散要求,并提出改进方案以确保疏散安全。  相似文献

The introduction of primary prevention programs into schools has great potential to expand the roles of school personnel. Working collaboratively, school psychologists, teachers, and school administrators could facilitate adoption of social skills and health promotion programs. Leaders within schools are needed to initiate the move toward primary prevention. School psychologists are ideally placed to take a leadership role in this shift toward primary prevention. However, they need to receive more information about primary prevention, both in training programs and in written works, if they are to be adequately prepared to introduce programs and to consult to school personnel. The information that school psychologists are currently exposed to provides an inadequate level of detail for those who wish to implement such programs. We offer recommendations to school psychologists and members of other professions within the schools on how to acquire the information they need to serve as leaders in the primary prevention revolution.  相似文献

Building collaborative relationships between school personnel in special education and Hispanic families is a challenge being faced by many professionals today. This article profiles the issues that are paramount in understanding the values and beliefs of the Hispanic family. A four-step collaboration action plan is proposed that includes (a).promoting a positive attitude toward school personnel, (b) assisting school personnel by providing training, (c) gathering information on the family, and (d) developing a culturally sensitive program based on need. School personnel who take the time to understand the unique values and beliefs of the Hispanic culture will more adequately provide culturally sensitive services to Hispanic families and their children with disabilities.  相似文献

本文根据目前新疆高校人事管理的发展状况和实际情况,以新疆财经大学人事管理工作为背景,提出了B/S架构的新疆高校人事管理系统。系统根据使用方式和用户的不同,分为两大子系统人事日常管理子系统和网上查询子系统。人事日常管理子系统包括进校管理、在校管理(计划调配、劳资管理、师资管理、职工管理)、离校退校管理、综合统计查询、统计报表和系统维护等。网上查询子系统包括个人用户和领导用户。系统采用B/S的体系结构,以J2EE为开发工具,开发出适合满足新疆地区的人事管理系统。  相似文献

The recruitment of students into educational programs is an area that is underexplored in the literature. This piece capitalizes on two unique features to provide insights. First, the sample comes from a larger experimental evaluation of a summer bridge program that required the eight participating institutions to significantly increase—even more than double—their recruitment from the previous year. Second, because the program was designed for recent high school graduates, the institutions were required to work across educational sectors to recruit students while they were in the spring of their senior year of high school. Using both qualitative and quantitative data, I report that the most successful methods of recruitment involved two components: a personal aspect and multiple exposures to the information.
