This paper probes into the dialogues in If You Are the One based on the theoretical framework of Grice’s Cooperative Principle, with a view to discovering humorous effects and conversational implicature in a certain context. Through the analysis of representative dialogues which obey and violate the maxims respectively, this paper concludes that speakers, by appropriately violating the maxims and unconsciously observing the maxims of the CP, manage to achieve humorous effects and conversational implicature. Artificial neural networks (ANNs) have been widely used to solve a number of problems to which analytical solutions are difficult to obtain using traditional mathematical approaches.Such problems exist also in the analysis of industrial robots. Tolerance design, including tolerance analysis and distribution, is an important part of the electronic system’s reli- ability design. The traditional design needs to construct mathematic model of material circuit, which involves large amount of workload and lacks of practicability. This paper discusses the basic theory of electronic system’s reliability tolerance design and presents a new design method based on EDA (Electronic Design Automatic) software. Based on a case study,this paper explores the reason of the formation of the gender role and various negative stereotypes imposed on females by the patriarchal society,and attempts to analyze the painful experiences,physically and mentally,that females have to undergo both at home and out at work and to reveal the harmful influences that have been exerted upon the development of society by the prescribed gender role and negative stereotypes which virtually make females suffer throughout history.This paper also reveals a big irony:while various biases imposed by society victimize females,they also victimize society itself.Therefore,the paper argues that the only way out is to establish a new cycle which will undermine the structural basis for traditional views of male and female roles. 相似文献

This paper identifies the shortcomings of variance and semi-variance methods in investment risk measurement and introduces a new model, namely RR-ER (relative risk and excess revenue) model, which takes account of the revenue over expectation problem. Properties of RR-ER model and the consistency between RR-ER model and traditional risk measure model with regard to continuous random variables are discussed. Some researches have been conducted concerning the Markedness Theory about the marked and the unmarked, from aspects of Phonetics, Grammar, Pragmatic, Psycholinguistic and Sociolinguistic. Few researches have combined the Markedness Theory with literature theories and even no research has been done to study the Feminism Theory from the perspective of the Markedness Theory. This paper discusses markedness theory with regard to two basic issues: Why it is ok to say"历史"in Chinese, but the equivalent in English is"history", not"*herstory". Why the meaning of"governor"and"governess"is distinctively different? No research concerning the issues from the perspective of markedness has been conducted yet. This position paper highlights existing and emerging, prospective digital divides in Norwegian schools and asks whether we are now moving from traditional digital divides to digital inequality in our digitized society and schools. Despite very good technology density in Norwegian society and schools in general, there is the reason to pay attention to whether this situation creates new kinds of digital inequalities among already vulnerable pupil groups. Therefore, this position paper focuses on whether under the new Norwegian educational reform. The Knowledge Promotion, it is necessary to consider this issue from another angle because of e.g. the increased status of digital literacy and implementation of ICT-based （Information and Communication Technology） exams in the national curriculum. National slur is a linguistic form expressing unequal treatment of one ethnic group by another.It is the direct result of national xenophobia,which is usually formed through semantic degradation by giving nicknames or derogatory terms and making proverbs.The associative meaning of a nation-specific word is often rendered to give insult to this ethnic group in confrontation or opposition with the nation in dominance of their shared language.This paper revolves around the formation,application,cultural connotation,and the proper understanding of national slurs on Dutch.After a thorough analysis of national slurs on Dutch as well as a careful induction and deduction about words of offensive nationality concerning "Dutch",the perjoration of word meaning in Dutch expressions can be clearly pictured in this paper.Thus,the national slurs on Dutch can reveal itself more profoundly.Born the cultural awareness of national slur in mind under such a pretext,special attention can be adequately given in understanding and conveying the cultural connotation of Dutch expressions.Therefore,the study of national slurs on Dutch will effectively facilitate cultural communication. 相似文献

Mean shift,an iterative procedure that shifts each data point to the average of data points in its neighborhood,has been applied to object tracker.However,the traditional mean shift tracker by isotropic kernel often loses the object with the changing object structure in video sequences,especially when the object structure varies fast.This paper proposes a non-rigid object tracker by anisotropic kernel mean shift in which the shape,scale,and orientation of the kernels adapt to the changing object structure.The experimental results show that the new tracker is self-adaptive and approximately twice faster than the traditional tracker,which ensures the robustness and real time of tracking. 相似文献
