以英汉教育学学术论文摘要是否在修辞策略上存在差别为研究目的,研究采用斯威尔斯学派(The Swalesian School)的语步分析法,对学术论文摘要部分的宏观语篇结构进行对比研究。研究结果表明,英汉学术论文摘要在语篇结构上存在着明显的不同。  相似文献

本文基于自建语料库对比研究英汉学术论文摘要中互动式元话语的使用情况。研究结果发现:第一,与学术论文的研究结果相比,学术论文相对于增强语和态度标记语使用了较多的模糊语,而论文摘要中增强语使用频数比模糊语高。第二,英文摘要中模糊语和增强语使用相对偏高,而在汉语论文摘要中模糊语使用偏高,与其学术传统有关。第三,模糊语、增强语和态度标记语有时会结合使用。  相似文献

语类分析是篇章语言学重要的研究内容,而迄今为止对中医药学术论文摘要语类的研究较少。作者通过对六十篇中医药学术论文摘要语类进行分类和语步分析,发现中医药学术论文摘要并不完全遵循Swales(1990)的CARS论文英语摘要写作模式:中医药硕士学位论文英语摘要、中医药博士论文英语摘要、中医药期刊论文英语摘要在语篇模式上存在差异。该研究对中医药研究生英语学术论文写作教学和研究具有借鉴意义。  相似文献

本研究采用Santo(s1996)的语步分析框架,探讨软硬学科英语学术论文摘要的修辞结构。自建的语料库由40篇学术论文摘要组成(应用语言学类和物理化学类各20篇)。研究表明,两个不同的学科当中,有三个必要性的语步—引入研究,描述方法和总结结果,以及物理化学类学术论文摘要的体裁结构与应用语言学类的基本上吻合。论文最后讨论了研究结果对英文摘要撰写和学术英语教学所带来的启示。  相似文献

学术论文摘要作为一种特殊的语篇体裁,可以吸引读者并且为其提供主要研究内容。该文从体裁分析角度出发,对国内40篇外语类期刊摘要进行分析。研究重点在摘要内的语步结构。结果表明:中国学术论文摘要多使用IMRD模式,而CARS模式和综合模式相对出现频率低一些。分析得出的体裁知识有助于国内论文作者和学生提高摘要体裁意识,写出符合国际学术规范的中文摘要。  相似文献

立场标记语是标记作者立场、体现互动的语言资源,包括模糊限制语、增强语、态度标记语和自我提及。虽然有很多学者研究学术语篇摘要中的作者立场标记语,但较少从语步出发研究摘要中的立场标记语。通过对比分析中国学习者硕士论文英语摘要和国际期刊专家英文论文摘要中的立场标记语,可以看出两者在"研究结果"和"研究讨论"两个语步中立场标记语的使用特点。研究发现,在"研究结果"语步中,各类立场标记语都有使用,其中模糊标记语和增强语使用最为频繁,但中国英语学习者在"研究结果"语步中各项立场标记的使用频率均低于专家;在"研究讨论"语步中各项立场标记语都有使用,但在这一语步中,中国英语学习者增强语的使用频率高于专家。本研究对于中国学习者正确使用立场表达策略以提高其摘要写作水平具有一定的意义。  相似文献

以60篇应用语言学学术论文摘要为语料,以Santos(1996)的五语步模型为分析框架,重点探讨了专家作者与学术新手在学术论文摘要修辞方面的异同。研究发现:(1)两类作者均视研究"内容""方法"与"发现"为常规语步,但在研究"背景"与"方法"语步使用频率上存在显著差异。(2)两类作者均偏好"背景-内容-方法-发现-结论"的语步构建模式,但专家与新手运用此模式的频率为3:1。(3)两类作者均倾向以"现在时态"呈现研究"背景""内容"与"结论",但其运用频率在研究"内容"语步差异显著。上述研究发现对应用语言学专业学术论文摘要写作研究与教学具有重要启示。  相似文献

摘要是学术论文的浓缩和精华,正确写好英文摘要对于硕士生来说尤为重要。本文采用体裁和体裁分析的相关理论,对由随机抽取的25篇硕士生学位论文摘要组成的小型语料库,就硕士生学位论文英文摘要的学术规范遵循情况进行评价与分析。结果发现,一些硕士生学位论文的英文摘要在语步出现频率和语步数量方面与国际通用模式存在差异,学生在对摘要体裁的掌握上存在偏差。此项研究将对研究生的论文写作具有一定的参照意义。  相似文献

Background: Structured abstracts (which contain sub-headings such as this one) have replaced traditional abstracts in most current medical journals. Evaluation studies have shown that such abstracts usually contain more information, are of a higher quality, and facilitate peer review. Aim: The aim of the studies reported here was to investigate an additional, but as yet unexamined, feature of structured abstracts – namely whether or not they might be easier to read. Method: Eight studies were carried out. The first two compared the Flesch and the Gunning readability scores of traditional abstracts that were published in particular journals with those of structured ones that were published in the same journals after these journals had moved to using structured abstracts. The next two examined the Flesch and the Gunning readability scores of traditional and structured abstracts when they were written by the same authors. The next two examined the ability of readers to re-construct scrambled versions of abstracts to see if it was easier to re-construct structured abstracts than it was to re-construct traditional ones. The last two examined readers’ judgements of the readability of pairs of traditional and structured abstracts. Results: The first two studies showed that there were no significant differences in the readability scores of the earlier and the later abstracts. The next two studies showed, however, that when authors revised traditional abstracts to produce structured versions then the structured abstracts had higher readability scores. The next two studies showed that when readers were asked to re-sequence sentences taken from traditional and structured abstracts, they sometimes found this harder to do with traditional abstracts. The last two studies showed that readers rated structured abstracts more readable than traditional ones. Conclusions: These studies suggest that structured abstracts may be easier to read than traditional ones – sometimes!  相似文献

School Psychology faculty members are expected to publish articles in peer‐reviewed journals that impact the fields of education and psychology. Both the content and the impact of the articles school psychologists publish may change across time and differ from other disciplines. The current analysis sought to understand average article impact, content, and research focus, and to describe those articles that have the highest impact factor. All of the articles (n = 3670) published by school psychology faculty between January, 2010 and December, 2015 were collected and examined. Three reviewers were trained over 2 hr to read abstracts and to classify the content of those abstracts. The literature was systematically classified into four categories: assessment, consultation, intervention, and professional issues. The title, keywords, and abstract were used to find the category of best fit for each publication. The majority of articles published fall into the broad category of Professional Issues. The average article is cited 17.68 times in Google Scholar and 4.9 times in Web of Science. These data will be useful to understand publication content trends and identify gaps in research.  相似文献

This article utilizes a bounded qualitative meta-study framework to examine the 101 dissertation abstracts found by searching the ProQuest Dissertation and Theses? digital database for dissertations abstracts from 1990 through 2010 using the search terms education, science, technology, engineer, and STEM/SMET. Professional search librarians established the search criteria used to establish the database. The overarching research question for this study was: What can we learn from the examination of doctoral dissertations abstracts that focus on the STEM education found from 1990 through 2010? The study??s findings provide an overview of doctoral research related to STEM education and the discussion section focuses on quality of abstracts, questions regarding the use of the pipeline metaphor, and location of instructional innovation.  相似文献

This article maps out trends in distance education research and scholarship from 35 years of publications in the Distance Education journal. Titles and abstracts of 515 full papers were analyzed using the text-mining tool LeximancerTM to identify and describe themes in distance education research covered by these publications in the journal over the period 1980–2014. Analysis of titles and abstracts over 5-year periods reveals the following broad emerging themes over the seven time periods: professionalization and institutional consolidation (1980–1984), instructional design and educational technology (1985–1989), quality assurance in distance education (1990–1994), student support and early stages of online learning (1995–1999), the emergence of the virtual university (2000–2004), collaborative learning and online interaction patterns (2005–2009), and interactive learning, MOOCs and OERs (2010–2014). The place of these themes within waves of alternating institutional and individual research is discussed.  相似文献

注重基本文献的收集、整理和编纂是美国学者从事杜威研究的传统特色。近二十年,美国杜威研究界在基本文献的整理和杜威教育思想的深入研究两方面均取得了重要进展,出版了四卷《杜威书信集》光盘,以及《杜威与美国民主》《杜威:宗教信仰与民主人本主义》和《杜威与爱欲:教育艺术中的智慧和欲望》等一批优秀的研究著作。近二十年美国学术界对杜威教育思想研究的重点有以下几个方面:民主教育思想、实用主义教育思想的现代性内涵、杜威的美学理论与教育思想的关系、杜威的宗教理论与教育思想的关系等。近二十年美国的研究成果对杜威教育思想以正面评价为主。这些新进展反映了20世纪80年代以来国际政治意识形态对立趋缓后,人类面对高度现代性社会的共同挑战,开始公正地、全面地研究杜威教育思想的世界性趋势。  相似文献

As a particular genre,Abstract is a growing field of study in linguistics. Move analysis is one aspect that has conducted to describe RA abstract. This article analyzed the particular genre with the purpose of helping them work out good abstracts for academic writing to improve their ability of doing research. One hundred abstracts were selected randomly from all the 450 graduation papers written by Eng lish-major pre-service teachers in 2010 in Hunan First Normal University in China. These informative abstracts were analyzed with the framework of Hyland’s 2000 Model. The results revealed that these English-major pre-service teachers haven’t done well in the abstract writing for their graduation paper, most of whom have no good understanding about the move model and move sequence, which impli cates that explicit introduction of terms of genre, move and move sequence etc., and training on how to write good abstracts in future study are really needed.  相似文献
