Nowadays, the fairy tales have been on hot discussion. Some say that the very original Grimm’s fairy tales is capricious that we may be more cautious whether it’s suitable for children. With the rethinking of fairy tales, many other scholars argue that the fairy tales can be valuable with its hidden German customs in the original version and the current versions are acceptable to children.The hot discussion raises our thinking. This new discussing wave may indicate something at a degree that the Grimm’s Fairy Tales is worthy going deeper to study. We think that the Grimm’s ferry tales is valuable for its pure essence and the German culture it hides that even adults should read it. Children can read the current version of Grimm’s Fairy Tales with their innocence,getting the basic judging system of good and bad. The core question is that Adults also should pick it up. That’s because usually people will find that all the experiences and reasons can be dated back to the simple truths in fairy tales. In order to model the movement progress in case of risks such as dam collapse and coastal inundation, particle-based simulation methods, including the discrete-element method and smoothed particle hydrodynamics, which have specific advantages in modeling complex three-dimensional environmental fluid and particulate flows, are adopted as an effective way to illustrate environmental applications possibly happening in the real world. The theory of these methods and their relative advantages compared with traditional methods are discussed. Examples of 3-D flows on realistic topography including the flooding of a river valley as a result of a dam collapse and coastal inundation by a tsunami are introduced. Issues related to validation and quality data availability are also discussed. The results show that the simulations provide a valuable insight in a given situation for the security management of reservoir dams. Validation can only be performed where both the initial and final states can be very well characterized. 相似文献

The urban developments have been carried out by only professionals for a long time because of efficiency and safety. However, most residents are ordinary people. Therefore, it is necessary to change the awareness of sustainable living environments, not only on the construction side but also the residents. In recent years, the number of cases of residents’ participation in planning, maintaining, and repairing increased. However, sometimes youths and children, who might spend a lifetime longer than adults in a city after the developments have been done, are not included in this “Residents”. Concerning youth and children’s participation, CFC (child friendly city) is one of the good practices for sustainable development. It was launched by UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) and UN-Habitat in the Habitat II in 1996. City governments, especially in European countries, started to view CFC as their key concept for preservation and/or sustainable development. CFC means not only being “Children” friendly but also “All people” friendly. Various effects have been reported since the Historic Cities/districts included CFC in their city planning as a common concept, especially in education, community re-development, and operation and maintenance by the community. It is expected that better city planning in preservation and sustainable development can be achieved by adding CFC concept. In this research, an ideal way of city planning involving resident participation and the possibility in the future are analyzed based on case studies. Sex and gender have been confusingly categorised by many scholars.Sex refers to biological characteristics;gender,can also be influenced by biology but does not determined by it.Unlike sex,which is determined by nature at birth,gender is a social construct specifying the culturally prescribed roles that men and women are to follow and represent.In order to argue that gender attaches to culture and that gender identity is shaped socially and culturally,this essay analyses Jane Campion’s The Piano from three perspectives.Firstly,the essay will examine the way people in the film represent their gender characters through three repeatedly demonstrated narrative motifs,clothing,the axe and the piano,to illustrate that gender is performative and that cultural gender identities advocate specific performances in terms of behaviour,speech,views,etc.(Butler,2011).Then,through an analysis of the different gazes of the characters in the film,the essay indicates that social and cultural interaction between the genders can go beyond and blur the boundaries of the stereotypical categories of male and female.In the third section,the essay will argue that social rules and discourse also play a prominent role in shaping people’s gender,by discussing how the characters represent and re-define their gender identity under the pressure of the patriarchal society they inhabit. 相似文献

People always find themselves in a rather difficult situation when communicating with others. Quite often a seemingly good intention and caring manner in one’s communication with others cannot guarantee the speaker that initiates the speech is rated as respectful and the communication as satisfying, let alone controlling and arrogant-like speech in a conversation. Patronising communication usually makes people fall into such a dilemma that they find it hard to carry out a successful interaction with other people. Researches in this aspect have been lauched to account for people’s mental states during patronising communication, and Communication Accomodation Theory (CAT) are found to be the best to explain the situation. It is suggested that sensibility, consciousness together with empathy from the speaker and positive reactions such as humorous responses from the listener are the desirable skills in improving the quality of patronising communication. 相似文献

Smart home is a promising solution to improving the quality of people＇s life. Much work has been done in the field, but most of these solutions are just based on home gateway, leaving much to be improved. One of its defects is the relatively high energy consuming and its radiation, and the other is that it is not available to the old home appliances which fail to access the internet. Full use of the low energy consuming characteristic of the Zigbee wireless sensor network, a completely new smart home solution is put forward in this paper. Without need of a home gateway and any modification for the currently used family appliances, the method uses the Zigbee coordinator as the central controller and the controllers of appliances as the end devices of Zigbee. It can realize a comfortable and smart home. Experiments show that the scheme proposed is feasible and it will be no doubt to be able to improve the quality of people＇s daily life. 相似文献
