自20世纪80年代起,为了提高基础教育的质量,美国政府不断出台了一系列教育改革的纲领性文件。其中不得不提的是美国在2001年颁布的《不让一个孩子掉队》法案(No ChildLeft Behind),它为美国义务教育质量提供了一系列法律性保障,同时也被看作是指导美国课程改革的重要指针。而现在,奥巴马政府又对该法案提出了一些新的建议与措施,并已在2009年取得了一定的成效。  相似文献

基础教育课程改革是各国政府关注的重要内容。20世纪90年代以来,中美基础教育改革不论是政府的重视程度、专家学者参与的热情度,还是涉及的深度和广度,都有着太多的相似。受联邦体制和多元文化的影响,美国长期以来实行地方分权的基础教育管理体制,与中国长期以来由政府统一指导和规划实施的教育管理体制相比较,美国的教育改革更多地呈现出理论探讨、实践研究的多元和课程理念、改革成果的多彩。正如美国著名社会学家戴维·波普诺所说:“美国的知识氛围有助于激励新思想的产生。”  相似文献

21世纪以来,美国和英国针对国内的现实情况,各自推出了一系列基础教育改革政策,以推进世界一流学校教育体系的创建。《改革蓝图》和《教学的重要性》是目前指导美英两国基础教育改革的纲领性蓝图。通过分析发现,美英两国基础教育改革采取了一些共同的策略:突出教师的重要性,推行教育的问责制,增加教育经费投入,改革课程内容与评价方式,关注弱势群体学生,赋权学校自主自治等。美英两国的基础教育改革突显出提高教育质量、促进教育公平以及追求教育卓越的基本理念。  相似文献

This is a study of how a group of primary school teachers in Singapore dealt with the possibility of introducing informal educational innovations in their school settings. “Informal innovations” here refers to the voluntary adoption of new teaching methods, techniques and ideas acquired during an in-service teacher education programme, namely, the Further Professional Certificate in Education (FPCE) programme conducted by the Institute of Education, Singapore. Did these teachers attempt, when back in their schools, to experiment with the new ideas and methods of teaching they had been exposed to during the one year of the FPCE programme? What factors worked for, and against, attempts at innovations in their primary schools? Were there structural constraints and socio-psychological obstacles that they had to negotiate in order to adopt innovations in classroom and educational practices? If innovative ideas had remained dormant, was this because the teachers were unconvinced about the practicality and relevance of these ideas for the classroom and the school? These questions serve as the focal points of a small study involving 66 primary school teachers. Of the 66 teachers, sixteen had resumed work at school for nine months after they completed their in-service attachment at the Institute of Education (IE). The remaining 50 were in the midst of their in-service training when they participated in the study.  相似文献

In workplaces, innovative products and processes are required to address emerging problems and challenges. Therefore, understanding of employees’ innovative work behaviour, including the generation, promotion, and realisation of ideas as components of this behaviour is important. In particular, what fosters innovation development and what triggers these activities is important for its promotion and adoption in contemporary workplaces. To investigate how and why innovations at work are developed and enacted, an explorative study comprising structured interviews with vocational teachers in the German vocational system was conducted. The teachers reported on activities they undertook during the development of a specific innovation. Furthermore, they provided information on factors that made this innovation necessary and that they were activated by. The study indicates that even when opportunities for innovation development existed in a workplace, the needs and goals of teachers were pivotal for these opportunities to be recognised and teachers’ innovative work behaviour to be triggered. By analysing vocational teachers’ work activities, we found that the development of innovations was a complex, iterative and primarily social process. By encouraging teachers to act on opportunities for change and by establishing a collaborative structure at schools, innovation development can be facilitated. We also found that throughout the development of an innovation, reflection played an important role. If the importance of reflective activities is acknowledged by workplaces such as these participants’ vocational schools, this not only fosters innovations but also the teachers’ professional development.  相似文献

Although considerable work has been done to develop new educational innovations, few have found widespread acceptance in the classroom. To improve the likelihood of adoption of educational innovations, researchers need to understand why some innovations are adopted and routinely used, while others are not. An initial aspect of the diffusion of innovations, as defined in the classical sociological literature, involves the communication of ideas and concepts related to innovations between individuals. This article presents an expert panel's answer to the following question: “What are the most important characteristics that relate to the dissemination of educational innovations?” As dissemination is a critical facet of the diffusion of an innovation, 45 researchers who received technology and engineering grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF) participated in a Delphi study designed to address this research question. In three rounds, the experts identified and ranked 11 characteristics of educational innovations, 6 characteristics of students, 13 characteristics of faculty members, and 5 characteristics of administrators that can relate to the successful dissemination of educational innovations. The results of this study led to the formation of a Characteristics of Dissemination Success (CODS) framework. This framework offers useful guidance for educational innovators seeking a better understanding of the influences on the dissemination of educational innovations.  相似文献
