In this study, a novel M-estimation based sparse grid quadrature filter (MSGQF) is proposed to improve the robust performance of the nonlinear system. We present a systematic formulation of the sparse grid quadrature filter (SGQF), and extend it to the discrete-time nonlinear system with abnormal measurement values. The M-estimation method is introduced in the SGQF, which uses the Huber’s cost function to update the measurement covariance. Convergence on the modified robust SGQF is established and proved. The sufficient conditions are shown to ensure stochastic stability of the MSGQF. A target tracking problem has been conducted to demonstrate the accuracy of the MSGQF. When measurement abnormal values appear, it outperforms the unscented Kalman filter (UKF), the cubature Kalman filter (CKF) and the SGQF. Theoretical analysis and simulation results prove that the MSGQF provides significant performance improvement in the robustness of the nonlinear system. 相似文献

Hemoglobin is a tetramer formed of two alpha and two beta globin chains. On exposure to high levels of blood glucose, hemoglobin gets non-enzymatically glycated at different sites in the molecule. HbA1c is formed when glucose gets added on to the N-terminal valine residue of the beta chain of hemoglobin. The development of chronic vascular complications of diabetes such as retinopathy, nephropathy and cardiovascular disease is intimately linked to the level of glycemic control attained by the individual with diabetes. We report a case of convulsions and monoplegia admitted to emergency department, showing unusually high glycated hemoglobin but plasma glucose not as high. The patient was not a known diabetic and we could not find any of the other documented conditions that are known to elevate glycated hemoglobin to such disproportionately high levels. Screening for abnormal hemoglobins was negative in the patient. Oral hypoglycemic drug treatment over 3 months and withdrawal of other medications only marginally lowered glycated hemoglobin. 相似文献

Breast cancer is one of the most frequent malignancies in the world. Available staging procedures to detect breast cancer
are bone scan, chest X-ray, liver ultrasonography, computerized tomography, estimation of tumor markers like carbohydrate
antigen (CA15-3) and carcino embryonic antigen. These procedures are expensive and may not be required in all cases. Out of
70 patients studied, 55 had normal CA15-3 and 15 had elevated levels of Ca15-3. Eight (14.5%) of the 55 patients with normal
CA15-3 had abnormal bone scan. Fifteen patients had CA15-3 levels above the normal range and among these 9 (60%) had abnormal
bone scan. While prime facie it would appear that a high level of CA15-3 correlate with abnormal bone scan, it is also true
that the numbers are small at present and conclusions about the validity of CA15-3 as marker of bone metastasis may be premature. 相似文献

It is very difficult, if not impossible, to remove the last traces of hypo from photographic papers by any known procedure of washing. The sulfur in the residual hypo ultimately, and especially under abnormal conditions of temperature and humidity, combines with the silver image to form yellowish brown silver sulfide. This phenomenon is known as sulfiding or “fading” of the image. The various factors which affect the rate of fading of images and the washing out of hypo from films and papers are outlined.Chemical methods of hypo elimination have been proposed from time to time but the majority of these have not been satisfactory because they tend to leave substances such as thionates in the photographic material, which are equally as difficult to wash out as hypo and which also tend to sulfide or fade the silver image. A new hypo eliminator is recommended consisting of two volatile chemicals, hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. This eliminator oxidizes the hypo to sodium sulfate, which is inert and soluble in water, while any excess eliminator evaporates on drying.Two formulas and treatments are proposed: (1) Complete elimination of hypo for use by the professional, advanced amateur, and photofinisher who demand the highest standard of photographic quality in their prints.(2) Almost complete elimination of hypo (less than o.oi milligram per square inch).Since the conditions to which prints will be subjected are rarely known in advance, use of the “complete elimination treatment” is advised in all cases. 相似文献

Under ambient conditions, the only known valence state of calcium ions is +2, and the corresponding crystals with calcium ions are insulating and nonferromagnetic. Here, using cryo-electron microscopy, we report direct observation of two-dimensional (2D) CaCl crystals on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) membranes, in which the calcium ions are only monovalent (i.e. +1). Remarkably, metallic rather than insulating properties are displayed by those CaCl crystals. More interestingly, room-temperature ferromagnetism, graphene–CaCl heterojunction, coexistence of piezoelectricity-like property and metallicity, as well as the distinct hydrogen storage and release capability of the CaCl crystals in rGO membranes are experimentally demonstrated. We note that such CaCl crystals are obtained by simply incubating rGO membranes in salt solutions below the saturated concentration, under ambient conditions. Theoretical studies suggest that the formation of those abnormal crystals is attributed to the strong cation-π interactions of the Ca cations with the aromatic rings in the graphene surfaces. The findings highlight the realistic potential applications of such abnormal CaCl material with unusual electronic properties in designing novel transistors and magnetic devices, hydrogen storage, catalyzers, high-performance conducting electrodes and sensors, with a size down to atomic scale. 相似文献
