With rapid advancements in information and communication technology, open collaboration has become easier, thereby allowing people to participate through internet platform. Open source software is one of the representative examples of open collaboration. In this research, we examine the antecedents of innovation performance for open source software development organizations on Github (www.github.com), which is a leading web service for the open collaborations of developers. From the perspective of resource allocation, this study investigates effective governance strategies to allocate developers to multiple projects within an organization. Overall, we find that the organization with high performance have a small number of developers to participate in most projects and most developers to participate in a small number of projects.  相似文献

Vendors and clients collaborate on outsourcing projects through virtual teams. Trust is an important indicator of mutual relationships that lead to successful projects. This study’s objective is to investigate the determinants of trust in different stages of collaboration during offshore software-development outsourcing. Using a case study approach to collect data, we find that reputation, a cognition-based trust factor, influences clients’ trust in vendors in the team-forming stage. Responsible team climate, a knowledge-based trust factor, impacts clients’ trust in vendors in the team-storming and norming stages of software design and development. Structural assurance, an institutional trust factor, encourages vendors’ trust in clients in the same team-storming and norming stages of software design and development. Benefit, a calculative-based trust factor, influences vendors’ trust in clients in the team-performing stage of software delivery and implementation. Our research findings have implications for software-outsourcing collaboration theories and practices and may have implications beyond that sphere, including team building in multiple contexts and environments.  相似文献

User related issues have long been broadly discussed in the information system development (ISD) project research area. In this study, we focus on user risk and identify two risk countering approaches to demonstrate how to deal with user risk and its negative impact on ISD projects. We hypothesize that (1) user risk has a negative impact on project performance, (2) users’ bond with the project and the development team can help reduce user risk, and (3) developers’ task knowledge and vertical coordination can ease the negative impact of user risk and increase project performance. A quantitative approach with survey data collected from 240 practitioners confirmed our hypotheses. In addition, we interviewed seven developers and three user representatives to complete our understanding of this issue. Implications for academia and practitioners are discussed at the end of this paper. Suggestions for future research directions are also provided.  相似文献

This study analyzes the importance role of Chief Executive Officer emotional intelligence to explain the interaction relationship between research and development investment and corporate social responsibility performance and to explain how the diversification into new technology provides explanations for the stakeholders’ problems. This research was realized through the completion of a questionnaire type inquiry structured around table-based analysis. As a result, Tunisian enterprises Chief Executive Officer have to face a trade-off: whether they should focus on more research and development investment in order to enhance their capability to obtain the corporate social responsibility performance. Therefore, managers should focus on introducing diversification strategy to solve the problem of trust among organizations, such as the nodes with interest conflicts or competing relationship.  相似文献

[目的/意义]旨在探究社交网络环境下用户健康信息分享意愿的形成机理,为社交健康网络的开发者、设计者和运营者的实践活动提供可供参考的管理启示。[方法/过程]基于"深度访谈+扎根理论"获取二阶信息链(含二阶信息链、二阶信任链)分析框架下社交健康信息生态链中信息内容与信息信任的作用机理,并通过整合感知价值理论、信任理论、技术接受模型中提取出的关键因素,从信息主体、信息环境、信息内容及信息技术4个层面展开系统分析,提出研究假设并构建理论研究模型。选取微信的深度用户为实证样本,通过"情境实验+问卷调查"的方式获取400份有效数据样本,并采用结构方程模型的研究方法验证理论模型。[结果/结论]信息主体因素(分享价值、自我效能及面子意识)、信息环境因素(分享态度、信源引力认知信任与情感信任、信宿推力认知信任与情感信任)、信息内容因素(信息正向情绪性、信息负向情绪性)均能显著正向影响社交网络用户的社交健康信息分享意愿,而信息技术因素(感知有用性、感知易用性)对分享意愿无显著影响。  相似文献

临时团队情绪智力与团队创造力的关系是情绪与创新领域研究的热点。研究以大学生临时团队为样本,采用结构方程模型和仿真模拟分析,对团队情绪智力、创新文化、快速信任、知识转移、团队创造力5个变量进行实证研究,探究了临时团队情绪智力对团队创造力的影响机制。研究发现,临时团队情绪智力通过创新文化、快速信任、知识转移的有调节的中介效应间接影响团队创造力。最后分析了该研究对临时团队管理实践的启示。  相似文献

While mobile health applications (mHealth apps) have attracted considerable practical and research attention in recent years, very few information systems (IS) studies have ever investigated patients’ use of mHealth apps. We draw insights from attachment theory, which states that when individuals experience fatigue or stress, they tend to develop affectionate bonds with objects that attend to their needs. Our study provides an evolutionary view on how patients’ attaining satisfaction of their basic needs through using mHealth apps leads to their emotional bonding with the mHealth apps and consequently contributes to their overall well-being. We surveyed 113 patients who used an mHealth app for hospitalization and discharge advice and education. We found that (a) patients’ emotional bonding with the apps mediated the impacts of autonomy and relatedness needs satisfaction on their well-being in terms of enhanced IT-enabled self-esteem and reduced post-surgery physical symptoms; and (b) autonomy need satisfaction positively and negatively moderated the impacts of competence and relatedness needs satisfaction, respectively, on patients’ emotional bonding with mHealth apps. Our findings not only contribute to the technology use literature and extend the interpretation of attachment theory in the IS field, but also yield practical insights for managers and developers who work in the mHealth industry.  相似文献

Voice shopping is becoming increasingly popular among consumers due to the ubiquitous presence of artificial intelligence (AI)-based voice assistants in our daily lives. This study explores how personality, trust, privacy concerns, and prior experiences affect customer experience performance perceptions and the combinations of these factors that lead to high customer experience performance. Goldberg’s Big Five Factors of personality, a contextualized theory of reasoned action (TRA-privacy), and recent literature on customer experience are used to develop and propose a conceptual research model. The model was tested using survey data from 224 US-based voice shoppers. The data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA). PLS-SEM revealed that trust and privacy concerns mediate the relationship between personality (agreeableness, emotional instability, and conscientiousness) and voice shoppers’ perceptions of customer experience performance. FsQCA reveals the combinations of these factors that lead to high perceptions of customer experience performance. This study contributes to voice shopping literature, which is a relatively understudied area of e-commerce research yet an increasingly popular shopping method.  相似文献

Technology has penetrated the social fabric of security practices so deeply that it is often used without much reflection on its role, significance and implications. This naturalisation of technology makes it difficult for practitioners to develop their own vision of technology. They may become subject to the coercive power of technology, and appropriate the narrow technological paradigm embodied in their tools. This, in turn, makes it difficult for technology developers to understand practitioner needs and to assess the transformative potential of technology. This paper aims to develop a conceptual framework for understanding the role of technology in intelligence. The focus is on the technological capabilities supporting an analysis of sociocultural processes related to so‐called ‘new threats’. The two main problems in intelligence nowadays are deciding what data are relevant and how they should be analysed. The major issue is not the collection of information, but turning information into knowledge and action. Accordingly, the practitioner thinking about technological tools can be usefully informed by the concept of technology as a mediator between areas of knowledge production and consumption. This concept highlights technology’s ability to affect intelligence analysts’ understanding of threats, identification of data sources and information gaps, and their interaction with colleagues and consumers of intelligence products.  相似文献

Significant research explores how developers leverage crowdfunding to attract finance for releasing digital goods. However, researchers seldom study “post-release activities” that are crucial for maintaining and advancing those goods. This article elaborates on the challenging nature of post-release activities for crowdfunding initiatives, asking how developers communicate their post-release plans to effectively prepare backers for possible changes. Using a grounded approach that connects the longitudinal history of fundraising to development to post-release, I examine initiatives that achieved impressive fundraising and development results yet varied significantly in their post-release outcomes. While they consistently signaled post-release plans, the differences are the signals’ costs, backers' reactions, and the post-release activities and outcomes. I present theoretical propositions that (1) developers benefit in the long run by combining high-cost signaling with engaging backers in follow-up conversations about post-release issues and (2) prospective backers can utilize developers' communication to identify their post-release signals. Unlike dominant research findings about signals’ impacts on mobilizing resources during fundraising, the findings emphasize signals’ post-release consequences for stakeholders. While different signaling approaches can enhance short-term performance, they also seed contrasting longer-term outcomes for developers, backers, and the industry. These findings advance knowledge on effective strategies for engaging society to build sustainable digital goods.  相似文献

In this study, we explore the coordination performance of the geographically distributed software development teams by exploring OSS (Open Source Software) development dataset available through SourceForge.com. OSS team structures have traditionally been geographically dispersed and therefore, the coordination of post release activities such as testing efforts have been carried out by means of communication via electronic forms, such as email or message boards and forums. In our current communication-enriched environment, best practices for coordination are adopted by all software projects yet some still fail to achieve their target performance. Does team structure have any bearing on the performance outcome of the project? How does the communication between teams and their external parties affect ultimate success or failure of projects? We seek to answer above questions by applying existing theories and analytical methods from social networks for exploring the coordination performance of defect management activities found in OSS projects. We propose social networks based theoretical model for exploring distributed coordination structure and apply that for the case of OSS defect management process for exploring the structural properties, which induce the greatest coordination performance. The outcome of our suggest that there is correlation between certain network measures such as density, centrality and betweenness and coordination performance measures of defect management systems such as quality and timeliness.  相似文献

[目的/意义]智库建设离不开智囊团的打造,智囊团水平决定智库的水平,依据决策功能派"最有效地表述具有非确定性的决策过程"的特点能较好吻合智库智囊团非确定性的决策过程的特点,创新运用其来研究智库资政的最具原创动力的核心部分--智囊团,不仅可以丰富智囊团资政分析的理论视角,还可以通过模型和指标的构建来指导智库智囊团的资政实践。[方法/过程]将决策功能派提出的行动维度细分为思维和实践两方面、结果维度融入情报要素、根据影响智囊团信息转化为情报能力的要素,构成评价的情报、行动、结果三个维度的一级指标,同时形成评价智库智囊团的IAO三维立体模型。在二级指标设计上,依照信息转化为情报的增值原理量化了情报维度的自有信息量和自有信息量转化效果;按照认识指导实践的理论从思维和行动思考"行动"维度构成;并根据南京大学中国智库研究与评价中心设计的MRPA智库专家测评指标,量化了结果维度中智囊团对决策的主观期待价值,最后结合调研与SPSS分析定量化筛选核心指标,从而形成I、A、O三个维度具体的指标体系。[结果/结论] IAO模型为描述和评价智囊团非确定性的决策过程提供了一个新的可观察和可操作的参照指标,强化了智库发展中人的核心地位与作用,拓展了智库评价的视野和维度。  相似文献

授权型领导是领导对员工信任基础上所作出的管理决策和领导方式,并影响到员工创新行为。本文研究授权型领导如何通过影响知识型员工的两种信任,并进一步影响知识型员工创新行为的中间信任机制,以及组织支持感在该机制中的调节作用。通过配对调研和数据收集与处理,实证研究发现,授权型领导能够正向影响知识型员工对领导产生的基于情感的信任和基于认知的信任,并最终正向影响知识型员工的创新行为,组织支持感正向调节授权型领导对知识型员工基于情感的信任和基于认知的信任的影响关系。  相似文献

以实证方法研究了股东与经理人之间的信任度、经理人风险承担、股东与经理人之间的信息不对称及企业创新绩效的关系。研究表明,股东与经理人的信任度越高,越有利于企业创新绩效的提高,股东与经理人的信任度对企业创新绩效有直接影响。股东与经理人信任度越高,经理人的风险承担意愿越强。经理人的风险承担意愿对企业创新绩效有正向影响。股东与经理人之间的信任度可以通过经理人的风险承担间接影响企业的创新绩效。信息不对称度的降低可以提高股东与经理人之间信任度对企业创新绩效的直接促进作用。本研究对现有的部分理论做出了有益的补充,为企业实践提供了一定的参考。  相似文献
