Based on the analysis of the technology and application of the＂cloud library＂platform in Shanxi University of Finance and Economics,this paper discusses the basic architecture and function of the cloud computing platform in library,explores the strategies and approaches for library to enter into the cloud computing platform, and brings forward the content and method for library to migrate to the cloud computing platform. The problems of soil erosion, environmental degradation, and rural livelihoods in the Chinese Loess Plateau have always been of deep concern to relevant government departments and academic institutions. Since the ＂Grain for Green＂ （GfG） program was launched in 1999, agricultural practices including the conversion of sloped famalands to terraces and the constrtiction of farm dams have been implemented to promote the ecological restoration in the Chinese Loess Plateau. Ocean is the largest carbon reservoir on Earth. By taking up about one-third of all human carbon emissions, it has effectively reduced atmospheric carbon dioxide and eased global climate change. Scientists have studied extensively on the mechanisms of C02 absorption in the ocean, or the so-called ＂carbon pumps＂, from physical to chemical and biological pumps. Microbes, traditionally regarded as organic matter decomposers, had been long neglected until a few years ago Prof. JIAO Nianzhi from Xiamen University proposed the concept ＂microbial carbon pump （MCP）＂ illustrating that these tiny marine inhabitants are also producers of refractory dissolved organic carbon, a persistent form of matter which can be stored in the ocean for thousands of years and thus constitute an ideal carbon pool. Today, the MCP concept has been widely accepted as a promising sequestration strategy, and Prof. JIAO is working hand in hand with scientists from all over the world under the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research （SCOR） Working Group 134 to better understand how to use these magic creatures for preserving carbon in the deep blue.  相似文献

Genetically modified （GM） technology is an ＂inevitable result of the rapid development of modern science and technology. With broadapplication prospects in fields such as medicine, industry, agriculture, environmental protection, energy and new materials, it will certainly provide new development space for human society. However, as with other high technologies, its nonstandard R＆D activities and misuse might raise safety risks. For this reason, the Presidium of Academic Divisions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences （CASAD） calls on practitioners of GM technology research and development （including basic and applied research, and product development）, and those involved in the research and development of safety monitoring, evaluation, and detecting techniques to retain a high sense of responsibility and to widely promote professional ethics, conduct research properly, fulfill social responsibility, facilitate public communication and support the sound development of GM technology.  相似文献
