We formulate a "Moore's law" for photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and their spatial integration density using two methods. One is decomposing the integrated photonics devices of diverse types into equivalent basic elements, which makes a comparison with the generic elements of electronic integrated circuits more meaningful. The other is making a complex component equivalent to a series of basic elements of the same functionality, which is used to calculate the integration density for functional components realized with different structures. The results serve as a benchmark of the evolution of PICs and we can conclude that the density of integration measured in this way roughly increases by a factor of 2 per year. The prospects for a continued increase of spatial integration density are discussed.  相似文献

This paper presents a novel low-pass filter (LPF) with sharp rejection, wide stopband and compact size, which are realized by the defected ground structure (DGS) and the defected microstrip structure (DMS). The equivalent circuit model is proposed and the circuit parameters are extracted by the circuit simulation software. The parameters measured are 3 dB cutoff frequency fc of 5.2 GHz, the insertion loss less than 0.5 dB from DC to 4.0 GHz and S21 less than -20 dB within the wide stopband from 6 GHz to 16 GHz. The results of the circuit optimization agree well with those of the full wave simulation and the measured ones, which validate the effectiveness of the equivalent circuit model. The size of the proposed LPF is decreased compared with normal LPF. This LPF can be applied in rectennas to eliminate high order harmonics.  相似文献

A new type of fault current limiter (FCL) based on triggered vacuum switch (TVS) is proposed in this paper. The TVS-based FCL (TFCL) is mainly composed of a capacitor, a current-limiting reactor connected with a capacitor in series and a TVS connected with a capacitor in parallel. With the TVS at off or on state, the whole TFCL behaves as a conventional series compensator or a fault current limiter, respectively. Numerical simulation and prototype experiment based on LC resonant test circuit show that it is feasible to develop TFCL. 采用重力沉降法在载玻片上制备了三维SiO2光子晶体,用扫描电子显微镜和紫外-可见分光光度计分别表征了样品的微结构和光学特性。结果表明:SiO2微球在三维方向上均为密堆积排列,由于(111)平面的布拉格反射,样品在[111]方向显示出光子带隙。随着SiO2球粒径的增大,光子带隙的中心波长位置发生红移,而且光子带隙的性质与沉积温度密切相关。  相似文献

This paper explores and proposes a design solution of an integrated skip cycle mode (SCM) control circuit with a simple structure. The design is simulated and implemented with XD10H-1.0μm modular DIMOS 650 V process. In order to meet the requirement of a wide temperature range and high yields of products, the schematic extracted from the layout is simulated with five process corners at 27℃and 90℃. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed integrated circuit is immune to noise and achieves skipping cycle control when switching mode power supply (SMPS) works with low load or without load.  相似文献

An adaptive ramp generator based on linear histogram was proposed for the built-in selftest (BIST) of analog to digital convertor (ADC) in CMOS image sensor. By comparing the generated ramp signal to a reference voltage and feeding back a calibration signal, the slope adjustment was implemented, and high linearity and precision of ramp slope were realized. By modulating the pulse width and reference voltage, sweep length varied from microsecond to second and signal swing could reach 3 V with 5.6 mW power consumption. The ramp was used as input to an ideal 10-bit single-slope ADC, and the corresponding DNL and INL were 0.032 LSB and 0.078 LSB, respectively.  相似文献

Instead of avoiding occurrence of chaos in motor drives,chaos is positively utilized in this paper.A new chaotic pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme is proposed and implemented for AC motors,which functions to significantly suppress harmonic peaks and hence acoustic noise.The key is to employ the Chua's circuit for generating a desired chaotic sequence.By using a practical induction motor,computer simulation and experimental results verify that the chaotic PWM has advantages of harmonic peak suppression and simple hardware implementation over the conventional PWM and random PWM.  相似文献

Resonant tunneling diode (RTD) of AlAs/InGaAs/AlAs double barrier-single well structure was designed and fabricated. The devices showed current-voltage characteristics with peak-valley current ratio of 4 : 1 at room temperature. The scattering parameter of RTD was measured by using an HP8510(C) network analyzer. Equivalent circuit parameters were obtained by curve fitting and optimized. The RTD switching time was estimated using the measured capacitance and average negative differential resistance. To enhance nominal current of high voltage vacuum circuit breakers (VCBs), a gravity heat pipe was proposed to replace stationary conducting rod of a high voltage vacuum interrupter. The heat pipe is composed of two coaxis tubes: the external tube is made of oxygen-free copper and the inner tube is made of stainless steel. The bottom end of the inner stainless steel tube is connected to the external copper tube by holes. Transient and static thermal performance of the heat pipe was measured, and the thermal resistance of it was compared with that of a solid copper rod with the same dimensions. Experimental results showed that thermal resistance of the heat pipe was about 1/3 of that of the copper rod, and it decreased slightly with the rising of the input heat flux. 3D thermal simulation on a 126 kV/2000 A single break VCB was done to compare the thermal performance between the proposed gravity heat pipe and the copper rod serving as the stationary conducting rod of the vacuum interrupter. Simulation results revealed that in the heat pipe case, the maximum temperature between contacts was 67 ℃ lower than that in the copper rod case.  相似文献
