2006年12月26日,经过5个月试开放的开远市图书馆小龙潭监狱分馆在小龙潭监狱正式挂牌成立,这是开远市图书馆继小龙潭毛家寨、羊街乡宽寨分馆成立后正式挂牌成立的第三个分馆。小龙潭监狱分馆的成立,是图书馆工作的一个新的转折点。它的成立进一步推动了开远市公共图书馆事业的协调发展。对改变开远市地方文化事业发展滞后的现状,提高公民的文化素质,促进开远社会和经济的全面协调发展具有重要意义。  相似文献

[目的/意义]专业分馆在高校图书馆学科服务中一直处于可有可无的边缘地位,互联网+时代,粗放型的学科服务日趋精细化,这使得专业分馆在高校图书馆学科服务中的定位发生变化;重新界定这一定位,有助于为高校图书馆学科服务带来新的增长点,注入生机和活力。[方法/过程]以清华大学图书馆专业分馆的学科服务作为实证,引入定位原理,探讨专业分馆在高校图书馆学科服务中的定位和实现。[结果/结论]设有专业分馆的高校图书馆应该将专业分馆作为学科服务的一线和前沿,以专业分馆为核心,与分馆所属专业的教学、科研工作开展密切合作,深入分析、挖掘教师和学生的信息需求,以知识服务和个性化服务为基本点,构架图书馆与院系等其他相关部门多位一体的泛学科服务机制。  相似文献

老龄化社会和数字化时代背景下,老年人的精神孤独感越发严重突出,如何提升老年群体的精神满足感,保障高质量晚年文化生活成为亟待解决的问题。论文进行了图书馆适老服务研究,选择温州市图书馆老年分馆的服务活动进行个案分析,在此基础上探索公共图书馆适老化服务模式及其实际应用。研究发现,图书馆应从老年人的信息需求出发,贴合老年人的精神孤独现象,设计可提升老年用户获得感和精神满足感,并能够发挥老年人社会价值的长期服务活动,是公共图书馆适老化服务的方向。  相似文献

十年前,射阳县为迎接全国文化先进县的验收,在全县所有乡镇兴建了乡镇图书馆。十年来,由于经费投入不足、藏书资源单一、管理体制不顺等原因,这些乡镇馆出现了门可罗雀的现象。2010年,由射阳县委宣传部协调,在原海通镇图书馆的基础上成立射阳县图书馆海通分馆,与县馆及其他分馆一起实行统一采编,通借通还,资源共享,不仅盘活了文化资源,而且方便了群众阅读。事实证明,总、分馆制这种城乡一体化的图书馆服务模式可让文化共享工程真正惠及百姓。  相似文献

[目的/意义]调查并分析美国公共图书馆年长者健康信息服务现况,为我国公共图书馆开展相关服务提供参考。[方法/过程]利用网络调查法,结合文献调查、访谈和案例分析,选择服务人口数量排名前25的公共图书馆,以是否有专项年长者健康信息服务为抽样标准,对选取的14所图书馆的服务现况及特点进行分析。[结果/结论]美国公共图书馆年长者健康信息服务具有如下特点:遵循规范的服务流程;细分年长者用户群,重视50+用户;健康信息服务的主题内容较为集中,以满足用户的信息需求;以提高用户健康素养尤其是电子健康素养为主要目标。  相似文献

The University of Manchester Library (UML) is embarking on an ambitious new strategy that aims to align the library more closely to the work of the University—to contribute to the University's strategic success. This article describes elements of the strategy development and content, focusing on methods used; how the service has worked collaboratively both internally and externally, and how senior managers have supported resource, skill, and knowledge challenges. This study discusses literary and film interests among library patrons in assisted-living residences in a small-town Midwestern context. The importance of library services for seniors is addressed. Popular genres and literary themes are discussed, and the concepts of “relational librarianship” and senior services librarian are advocated. Based on our community engagement project involving 47 older, low-income African-American adults from a senior community center, this study analyzes how an underserved population acquires knowledge and skills related to digital technologies. We discuss the conceptualization, implementation, and evaluation of a weekly, four-month long computer class for members of the senior community center. Our mixed-method research shows the importance of taking into account both the multidimensional nature of adult learning and the social and cultural contexts in which learning occurs when working with underserved adult populations. Findings from our formative and evaluative research offer insights into changes in the computer class participants’ attitudes toward and perspectives on key digital literacy issues including security and privacy online and online information verification. Scholarly and policy implications are discussed in the context of digital competency and adult learning for marginalized populations.  相似文献

The library has experienced many conversations with colleagues at the college in different departments lately related to the library tools and services it offers. Some of these conversations have included senior administrators, who have at some point directly supervised the library. In order for senior administrators to advocate for the library, librarians must educate them on the tools and services the library offers to its customers. Springshare’s LibApps is one such tool that has been integral to library operations. In the few years since the library has subscribed to Springshare’s LibApps’ suite of tools, Office of Institutional Research & Training (OIRT) has successfully utilized this library-specific tool, which has justified the annual renewal of this software tool by senior administration. For more departments at the college to adopt these tools and integrate them into their day-to-day tasks, librarians must educate customers (student, staff, and faculty) as well as administration about this and other library-specific tools. Since Springshare markets to and for librarians and as more librarians write about how this tool can be used for a variety of different applications, then other departments college-wide will become aware of and then adopt Springshare’s LibApps’ suite of tools.  相似文献
