版权问题一直是制约开放获取(OA)的瓶颈之一,为了更有效地了解和推动OA期刊版权研究,对国外期刊著作权让渡的6种模式按照从作者权利最大化到出版者权利最大化依次变化的顺序进行详细分析。选取Reed Elsevier、Thomson Reuters、Springer Science+Business Media、John Wiley&Sons、ACS世界5大科技医药期刊出版商,从其官网和SHERPA/RoMEO数据库观察它们的OA出版政策,并从期刊的声望和质量、版面费、作品使用、职业发展四方面对影响作者选择出版者的主要因素进行分析。最后,从"长尾"格局和利益相关者的较量两方面对国外期刊版权模式现状进行总结。 相似文献

基于2008-2013年Thomson Reuters发布的Journal Citation Reports (JCR)及中国科学技术信息研究所发布的《中国科技期刊引证报告》(CJCR),比较分析中外科技期刊载文量、总被引频次、影响因子、即年指标等各主要文献计量指标的变化.结果显示,我国被SCI收录期刊的数量和影响力指标近年来总体上呈上升态势,但年平均载文量却稍有下降,以中文期刊为主的CJCR收录期刊数量和年平均载文量均呈停滞增长甚至下降的趋势.这可能表明我国科技期刊的稿源竞争力有所下降. 相似文献

Considering the expansion of research output across the globe, along with the growing demand for quantitative tracking of research outcomes by government authorities and research institutions, the challenges of author identity are increasing. In recent years, a number of initiatives to help solve the author “name game” have been launched from all areas of the scholarly information market space. This article introduces the various author identification tools and services Thomson Reuters provides, including Distinct Author Sets and ResearcherID—which reflect a combination of automated clustering and author participation—as well as the use of other data types, such as grants and patents, to expand the universe of author identification. Industry-wide initiatives such as the Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) are also described. Future author-related developments in ResearcherID and Thomson Reuters Web of Knowledge are also included. 相似文献

In 2010, Thomson Reuters released WestlawNext powered by WestSearch, a novel and proprietary algorithm. WestlawNext represents a new approach to legal research platform design. This article empirically examines the differences in search results using Westlaw Classic and WestlawNext by testing law students and librarians in both systems. Results demonstrate that researchers complete everyday searches faster and more accurately using WestlawNext. However, WestSearch's unique features and Thomson Reuters' failure to explain the function behind the WestlawNext main search bar and the WestSearch algorithm has limited researchers' ability to understand and effectively use WestlawNext. This lack of understanding has significant implications for instruction. 相似文献

ABSTRACTIn 2010, Thomson Reuters released a new search engine to the legal academy called WestlawNext. WestlawNext's single-search-box approach revolutionized the legal research process. LexisNexis followed with its own next-generation search engine, Lexis Advance. This study compares the speed and accuracy of WestlawNext and Lexis Advance for basic legal research questions. Fifty-five participants answered five legal questions in each system. We reviewed their results and research trails to determine how the systems compared on speed and accuracy. Our results indicate few significant differences between the two systems for basic legal research tasks utilizing keyword searches. 相似文献

The research material is data collected from Scopus (Elsevier), the Web of Science (Thomson Reuters), the Database of Computer Science (VINITI), and the Scientific Electronic Library (eLibrary). Based on analysis of these data, the primary directions of webometric research in libraries are identified and reviewed.
