Standard treatment options for breast cancer include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and targeted therapies, such as adjuvant hormonal therapy and monoclonal antibodies. Recently, the recognition that chronic inflammation in the tumor microenvironment promotes tumor growth and survival during different stages of breast cancer development has led to the development of novel immunotherapies. Several immunotherapeutic strategies have been studied both preclinically and clinically and already have been shown to enhance the efficacy of conven- tional treatment modalities. Therefore, therapies targeting the immune system may represent a promising next-generation approach for the treatment of breast cancers. This review will discuss recent findings that elucidate the roles of suppressive immune cells and proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines in the tumor-promoting microen- vironment, and the most current immunotherapeutic strategies in breast cancer.  相似文献

为研究不同营养水平日粮对早期饲喂的肉鸡生产性能和免疫机能的影响,选择刚出壳AA肉仔鸡480只（雌雄各半）,对照组饲喂常规日粮,试验Ⅰ组饲喂高营养水平日粮,试验Ⅱ组饲喂低营养水平日粮．结果表明：试验Ⅰ组体重分别比对照组和试验Ⅱ组提高5．28％（P〈0．05）和9．61％（P〈0．05）;法氏囊指数分别比对照组和试验Ⅱ组提高6．27％（P〈0．05）和9．75％（P〈0．05）,脾脏指数分别提高5．8％（P〈0．05）和13．84％（P〈0．05）;试验Ⅰ组新城疫抗体水平分别提高2．92％和12．5％（P〈0．05）．高营养水平日粮有利于生产性能和免疫机能的提高．  相似文献

一种细棒件连续计数下料方案的研究

Effects of Nanoliposomal and Pegylated Nanoliposomal Artemisinin in Treatment of Breast Cancer

This study is aimed to investigate the nanoliposomal artemisinin preparation, and its implementation on breast cancer cells. Side effects have been one of the common challenges of drug usage, as well as cancer treatment. In order to reduce such effects, nanotechnology has been a great help. Nanoliposomes are provided through reverse phase evaporation. In this method, certain proportions of phosphatidylcholine, cholesterol and artemisinin were mixed together. Besides, the obtained formulation was pegylated by using polyethylene glycol 2000 in order to increase its stability and solubility. The mean diameter of non-pegylated and pegylated liposomal artemisinin was determined by Zeta sizer system. The percent of drug released from liposome was performed by dialysis. The encapsulation efficiency of both formulations was estimated by spectrophotometry method. As a result, encapsulation and drug release of nanoliposomal formulation were more than the pegylation of the same formulation. In addition, this study indicated that cytotoxicity effect of pegylated nanoliposomal artemisinin was more, in comparison with nanoliposomal artemisinin.  相似文献   

Prevalence of +405G>C,−1154G>A Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Polymorphism in Breast Cancer

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) plays an important role in the development of Breast Cancer. The aim of this study was to investigate the association of polymorphisms in the VEGF gene on prognosis of Breast Cancer patients. This study comprised 200 patients with histologically confirmed cases of Breast cancer and 200 controls. Genotyping of the VEGF gene polymorphisms at +405G>C,−1154G>A, were performed by PCR-RFLP analysis. Preoperative plasma VEGF levels were determined by ELISA. Amongst both cases and controls, the genotypic distribution of the individual SNPs were all in Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium. Mean VEGF level was significantly elevated in cases compared to controls (t = 8.248; P < 0.001). No significant association was found between +405G>C,−1154G>A VEGF polymorphism and Breast Cancer. Logistic regression analysis revealed that 405GG & 1154GG were associated with higher levels of VEGF.  相似文献   

Drug Delivery of Hydroxyurea to Breast Cancer Using Liposomes

It is clear that cancer is one of the most mortal diseases in the world and the most prevalent among women is breast cancer. As hydroxyurea (HU)—a drug which is used in chemotherapy—has many adverse effects in long-term despite of its therapeutic properties, we made use of nano drug delivery technology in order to reduce adverse effects and increase therapeutic index. Thus, liposomation is a novel way in drug delivery systems. In this study a mixture of phosphatidylcholine and cholesterol was mixed and HU was added to the resultant mixture. The mean diameter of the nanoliposomal HU measured with the Zeta Sizer device (equal to 402.5 nm) and its encapsulation efficiency was 70.8 %. Besides, using dialysis, the pattern of drug release from nanoliposomes has been studied and the results showed that the drug release of nanoliposomal drug within 28 h was equal to 25.85 %. This study showed that the cytotoxicity effect of nanoliposomal drug is more than that of the standard drug.  相似文献   

Strategies in treatment of tendon overuse injury. The chronic painful tendon

Abstract

The etiology and pathogenesis to chronic tendon pain is unknown, and treatment is known to be difficult. Treatment is often based on opinions and not findings in scientific studies.

Recent research, using the intra-tendinous microdialysis technique, has shown that in chronic painful Achilles-, patellar-, and extensor carpi radialis brevis (ECRB) tendons, there were no signs (normal Prostaglandin-2 levels) of a so-called chemical inflammation. Furthermore, in biopsies from chronic painful Achilles tendons, pro-inflammatory cytokines were not up-regulated, again showing the absence of an intra-tendinous inflammation. Consequently, if the purpose is to treat a chemical inflammation, there is no science backing up for treatment of theses conditions with anti-inflammatory agents (NSAIDs, corticosteroidal injections). Interestingly, Substance-P (SP) and Calcitonin Gene Regulated Peptide (CGRP) nerves have been demonstrated in close relation to vessels in biopsies from these chronic painful tendons, indicating the existence of a possible so-called neurogenic inflammation.

Using ultrasonography (US)?+?color Doppler (CD), and immunhistochemical analyses of biopsies, a vasculo/neural(SP- and CGRP-nerves) ingrowth in the chronic painful tendinosis tendon, but not in the pain-free normal tendon, has recently been found. A specially designed treatment, using US- and CD-guided injections of the sclerosing agent Polidocanol, targeting the neovessels outside the tendon, has in pilot studies on chronic painful Achilles-, and patellar tendons been shown to cure the tendon pain in the majority of patients. A recent randomized double-blind study, verified the importance of injecting the sclerosing substance Polidocanol.  相似文献
