《一位女士的画像》中的内聚焦

文章以美国作家亨利·詹姆斯的叙事手法为切入点,应用叙事学中的内聚焦理论,对其作品《一位女士的画像》的女主人公伊莎贝尔·阿切尔的心理进行了分析。文章认为,詹姆斯作品中固有的心理描写开创了文学创作心理描写之先河,这种创作手法一改现实主义初期刻板的人物形象塑造,使伊莎贝尔的形象因其复杂的内心世界而栩栩如生。因此,詹姆斯通过内聚焦手法所展示的这幅心理画像实际上是一个立体画像,画像中人物的内心世界充满矛盾。  相似文献

Whitehead's contention that the essence of education is that it be religious has been widely overlooked by many of his adherents who have found it a difficult, or even embarrassing, concept with which to deal. But what did Whitehead mean by religious? In Britain there is currently a deep interest in what is being termed the, "spiritual dimension of education" which is itself to be seen in the context of the postmodern rejection of positivistic modes of thought which have dominated educational discourse in recent decades. This article examines Whitehead's own concept of religion both in his explicit academic work and in his assessment of what we might term, indirect education. It goes on to suggest links with other key thinkers, in particular William James, Soren Kierkegaard, and Ludwig Wittgenstein.  相似文献

颜元是我国明末清初著名的一位教育家,针对当时八股教育的弊端和不足,一心一意改革教育,实现教育创新,为了实现其培养专门人才和通才结合的思想,提出了"实文、实行、实体、实用"实学教育思想体系,倡导"习行"教学方法,采取全面评价学生等教育思想。科南特作为美国著名的教育家,是一位以要素主义流派为代表的教育家,提出了中等教育改革、师范教育改革、大学通识教育等重要的教育思想,影响了当时美国教育改革。通过比较发现,两个教育家在教育经验、教育理念、教育目的、教育内容、教育评价等方面既有分歧,也存在一定的共同之处。在今天,两位教育家的教育思想对我们的教育家的成长有很大启示价值。  相似文献   

英军焚毁圆明园事件与“国际法”

1860年10月,英国首席代表额尔金以清政府虐待英法"侨民"致死"违犯国际公法"为借口,悍然下令侵华英军劫掠并焚毁了圆明园等中国皇家园林。查证史实,可知当时并未形成世界意义上的"国际法",美国人惠顿的法学著作《万国公法》尚未传入中国,清政府也未签署任何有关战争的国际法文件。若就事论理,指出清廷违反人道主义是必要的,但责难清政府违反国际法却是没有道理的。反过来看,拥有国际法观念的英法军队对身受重伤的中方非战斗人员清宫太监,不但未进行必要的医疗救治,反而加戴镣铐,实施虐待,这种行径与他们标榜的国际法是相违背的。英法军队焚毁圆明园,劫掠文物,是违反他们自己的"国际法"的,是毁灭人类文明的野蛮犯罪。  相似文献

Erin Mackie explores how Mr Spectator became one persona through which James Boswell represents himself in his London Journal (1762–63), providing an antitype of the ‘rake’ persona which Boswell derives in part from Macheath in The Beggar's Opera. In this antithesis most attention falls on Macheath, but Mackie notes that in Tatler 27 Richard Steele creates a sentimental portrait of the rake as ‘the most agreeable of all Bad Characters’. Thus Boswell finds in the Tatler's rake an image of himself which stands in relation to the disapproving Mr Spectator. With this in mind, Mackie notes that the Spectator papers which describe the Mohock riots of March–April 1712 also characterize such displays as innocuous theatrical expressions of youthful ebullience. Boswell, then, finds acceptable dress for his criminal masculinity by casting himself into a ‘mock-heroic impersonation’ whilst using the narrative position provided by Mr Spectator to give himself ‘spectatorial immunity’.  相似文献

This article offers a methodological refinement to the radical narrative of media history and advocates an exploration of the ideological dynamics of media texts as a crucial component of their praxis. Focusing on early to mid nineteenth-century utilitarian theory and praxis as exemplified in newspapers and pamphlets such as the Westminster Review, the Examiner and Pamphlets for the People, the article offers a sophisticated ideological critique which is intended to augment radical analyses of media history. This analysis allows a more focused and precise account of the ways in which early proto-liberal reformers used the press in their political strategy.
