Ferrospheres in fly ashes from a coal-fired power plant were extracted by a magnetic separation technique and their microstructure was studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) and environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM). Ferrospheres in fly ashes show significant iron enrichment compared to their respective fly ashes. Iron oxides in ferrospheres mainly occur as minerals magnetite (Fe3O4) and hematite (α-Fe2O3), which are derived mainly from the decomposition and oxidation of iron-bearing minerals in coal during combustion. EDX data indicate that ferrospheres also contain Si, S, Al and Ca resulting from quartz, mullite, anhydrite and amorphous materials. A large percentage of ferrospheres are commonly 5-50 μm in size. The microstructure of ferrospheres includes smooth, polygonal, dendritic, granular and molten drop characteristics. SEM coupled with EDX provided fast and accurate results of the microstructure and chemical composition of ferrospheres, and helped us to assess environmental issues related to the disposal and utilization of fly ashes. 相似文献

Simulation is the process of executing a model that describes a system with enough detail; this model has its entities, an internal state, some input and output variables and a list of processes bound to these variables. Teaching a simulation language such as general purpose simulation system (GPSS) is always a challenge, because of the way it executes the models and the abstraction level it can achieve, very different compared with most well-known programming languages. This article presents an open source simulation framework that implements a subset of entities of GPSS, which could help students to improve the understanding of this language. This tool also stores all entities of simulations in every single simulation time, which is very useful for debugging simulations, but also for getting a detailed history of all entities in the simulations, knowing exactly how they have behaved in every simulation time. 相似文献

A method of combining dynamic simulation with real-time control was proposed to fit the randomness and uncertainty in the
high arch dam construction process. The mathematical logic model of high arch dam construction process was established. By
combining dynamic construction simulation with schedule analysis, the process of construction schedule forecasting and analysis
based on dynamic simulation was studied. The process of real-time schedule control was constructed and some measures for dynamic
adjustment and control of construction schedule were provided. A system developed with the method is utilized in a being constructed
hydroelectric project located at the Yellow River in northwest China, which can make the pouring plan of the dam in the next
stage (a month, quarter or year) to guide the practical construction. The application result shows that the system provides
an effective technical support for the construction and management of the dam.
