This study applies a capabilities perspective to examine how source-recipient knowledge absorption platforms affect the relationship between foreign tacit knowledge resource and multinational enterprises’ (MNEs) product innovativeness. Theoretically, this study moves beyond internal absorptive capacity into a capabilities perspective of MNEs’ product innovativeness. By using dynamic capabilities theory and absorptive capacity to frame source-recipient knowledge absorption platforms as dynamic capabilities, we build a model that enables the continued interaction between the tacit knowledge resource gained from foreign subsidiaries (source) and the focal (recipient) MNEs’ product innovativeness. For managerial implications, we focus on three organizational practices in terms of entrepreneurial competence, relationship harmony, and information communication technology (ICT) competence as potential enhancements to convert foreign tacit knowledge resource into MNEs’ product innovativeness.  相似文献

As the marketplace for higher education changes, attracting and retaining students is of utmost importance. Providing successful course delivery methods (e.g. face-to-face, fully online, hybrid) offers an opportunity for universities to differentiate from each other. This research investigates the relationships involved in student acceptance of online course management systems. Business students at a university located in the southwestern region of the United States completed an online questionnaire. The results indicate support for the core relationships of the technology acceptance model. In addition, personal innovativeness and support services both demonstrated an influence on acceptance. As a response to competition, universities should identify and make use of particular students as champions of the institutions’ online delivery options. Furthermore, there exist the potential to increase the value of online course delivery through the administration of significant support services.  相似文献

Past innovation research has largely neglected potential effects of corporate governance issues on strategic choices, and thereby on innovation management outcomes. The theory of upper echelon implies that strategic choices result from idiosyncrasies of top management teams (TMT). Building on this theory, we hypothesize that TMT diversity enhances firm performance by facilitating an innovation strategy that increases the firm's new product portfolio innovativeness. Our findings support the relevance of considering a corporate governance view for explaining innovation outcomes. Empirically, we can show that TMT diversity has a strong impact on the strategic choice of firms to focus on innovation fields. Such focus then drives new product portfolio innovativeness and firm performance. As corporate governance arrangements thus seem relevant in the context of innovation management, we can derive implications for both policy makers and innovation researchers.  相似文献

This paper examines how transformational leadership (TFL) climate influences employees’ team identity and their intentions to share knowledge and how team knowledge sharing intention subsequently influences team innovativeness. Data was collected from 301 employees comprising 52 R&D teams. Hypotheses were tested with both hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) and regression analyses. Results indicated that TFL climate was related to employees’ intention to share knowledge through team identity. At the group level, results supported the relationships between team knowledge sharing intention and team innovativeness. The results also indicated that team knowledge sharing intention mediated the relationship between TFL climate and team innovativeness.  相似文献

本文研究的目的是确定市场开发活动对NPD项目绩效的影响.假设为(a)市场进入战略及活动会直接提高创新绩效;(b)市场进入战略在对内外部市场开发活动不断熟悉的基础上正直接影响着创新绩效;(c)内部市场开发战略是在不断熟悉外部市场开发活动的基础上来提高创新绩效的;(d)市场进入过程中创新绩效的效果取决于创新的程度.为了证明假设的合理性,我们利用特定的测量模型建立了有效可靠的方法对134个NPD项目的数据进行收集和分析,然后根据路径模型验证创新的主要影响因素并对所提出的假设进行了大量的回归分析.结果表明市场进入活动对于NPD项目绩效有很大的影响,特别是市场开发战略及外部市场的开发活动会明显提高NPD项目的绩效.  相似文献

分析了文献中关于创新性及创新能力两个术语在定义、度量以及相互关系方面存在的歧义、混淆和不一致问题,对创新性与创新能力进行了新的诠释,给出了具有操作性的定义.提出一个从组织创新的数量、速率、效果以及效率等方面综合评价创新能力的四维概念与度量模型,将传统的定量与定性指标结合在一起,突破了一维定量或定性测度的局限性.通过国家863计划课题组层面技术创新能力评价的实证研究,验证了概念框架的合理性与可操作性,为深化创新能力研究提供了有益参考.  相似文献

从供应商网络视角,研究供应商创新性、网络能力对制造企业产品创新绩效的影响,并重点考察供应商网络结构对上述关系的调节作用。对285个有效样本的实证研究显示,供应商创新性和网络能力对产品创新绩效有正向影响。此外,制造企业中心性和网络关系强度正向调节供应商创新性与产品创新绩效间的关系;网络关系密度负向调节供应商创新性与产品创新绩效间的关系;制造企业中心性、网络关系强度和网络内部差异性正向调节网络能力与产品创新绩效间的关系;网络关系密度负向调节网络能力与产品创新绩效间的关系。研究表明,供应商创新性和网络能力对制造企业产品创新都有积极作用,而恰当的供应商网络结构将促进这一作用。  相似文献
