A quantitative analysis of moral exemplars presented in moral education textbooks in Korea and Japan

This study is a comparative analysis of the characteristics of moral exemplars presented in moral education textbooks in Korea and Japan. The purpose of the study is to examine and compare moral values presented through the lives and stories of moral exemplars in the two countries that have moral education as an independent and separate subject based on the national curriculum. To this end, the study uses analytical criteria such as gender, nationality, social roles, historical backgrounds, and specific moral values in order to investigate characteristics of 307 moral exemplars in Korea’s and Japan’s most used moral education textbooks. The results show significant similarities and differences in moral exemplars between the two nations. In the case of the similarities, both countries emphasize moral autonomy and respect for human life. In the case of the differences, while Korea presents more historic figures as moral exemplars, Japan presents more students and ordinary people as moral exemplars. 相似文献

Purpose: Maintenance and enhancement of vascular endothelial function contribute to the prevention of cardiovascular disease and prolong a healthy life expectancy. Given the reversible nature of vascular endothelial function, interventions to improve this function might prevent arteriosclerosis. Accordingly, we studied the effects of a 6-month static stretching intervention on vascular endothelial function (reactive hyperaemia peripheral arterial tonometry index: RH-PAT index) and arterial stiffness (brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity: baPWV) and investigated the reversibility of these effects after a 6-month detraining period following intervention completion. Methods: The study evaluated 22 healthy, non-smoking, premenopausal women aged ≥40 years. Subjects were randomly assigned to the full-intervention (n?=?11; mean age: 48.6?±?2.8 years) or a half-intervention that included a control period (n?=?11; mean age: 46.9?±?3.6 years). Results: Body flexibility and vascular endothelial function improved significantly after 3 months of static stretching. In addition to these improvements, arterial stiffness improved significantly after a 6-month intervention. However, after a 6-month detraining period, vascular endothelial function, flexibility, and arterial stiffness all returned to preintervention conditions, demonstrating the reversibility of the obtained effects. Conclusion: A 3-month static stretching intervention was found to improve vascular endothelial function, and an additional 3-month intervention also improved arterial stiffness. Wind tunnel experiments were conducted, in particular focusing on slow unsteady variations of aerodynamic forces as a potential
cause of the knuckle effect of a new soccer ball (Teamgeist) under non-spinning condition. The experiments included simultaneous
measurements of the drag, the side force and the surface pressure on a ball surface, and the tuft visualisation to investigate
the flow field behind a ball. Of particular interest was the erratic nature of the knuckle effect resulting from the unsteady
movement of vortical wake structure in the supercritical Reynolds number regime. A simple 2-D numerical simulation of the
ball flight trajectory was performed by taking into account the unsteady side force data measured in the present experiments. 相似文献

This paper examines why many flowers are five-petaled through the use of a five-petaled model that draws insights from the location of cell clusters at a shoot apex, rather than by way of the Fibonacci sequence or the golden ratio as in the past. The conclusion drawn is that flowers are most likely to be five-petaled, followed by six-petaled; four petals are unstable and almost no flower can be seven-petaled. 相似文献

二战之后至抗法独立战争期间,越南避开战火,在中国广西壮族自治区内建立起所谓的"中央学舍区",以期为独立战争和战后国家建设培养骨干人才。"中央学舍区"从1951年10月1日成立到1958年结束,虽只存在短短几年,但其培养的大批人才,为越南高等教育的奠基和发展作出了突出贡献。本文作者通过大量查阅中越两国联合办学的有关历史文献和访谈资料,梳理了中央学舍区学校成立的艰难历程和办学情况,为研究战争期间或者其他关键时期如何进行教育实践活动提供了生动有趣的例子。而对于中国来说,由于当时刚刚建立新的国家政权,并且面临着抗美援朝战争的严峻形势,其对于越南的援助更彰显了一种大国风范,意义重大。 相似文献

实地调查的研究方法作为比较教育的研究方法之一在20世纪90年代以后才开始走向规范化。日本比较教育学会会员在比较教育研究活动中时有采用实地调查的方法。该学会纪要在过去的30年中所刊登的共计414篇论文中,有45篇是研究者用在现场采取各种方法而得到的数据资料写成的论文。在考察和分析的基础上,笔者提出几个观点以判断这些研究是否值得被称为实地调查研究。潜心于现场的研究者在调查过程中不断地从比较的观点去接近价值判断,并且自身在进行实地调查的过程中也不断地进步和成长,这才是笔者提出"实地调查的含义"的意义之所在。 相似文献
