This article extends currently reported theory and practice in the use of learning goals or targets with students in secondary and further education. Goal-setting and action-planning constructs are employed in personal development plans (PDPs) and personal learning plans (PLPs) and are advocated as practice within the English national policy agenda with its focus on personalisation. The article argues that frameworks widely used for goal setting and action planning by UK educational practitioners, in particular SMART targets or goals, have yet to be rigorously examined in the light of relevant theory and practice. Doing so is important given contemporary emphasis on the dimensions of the learner experience regarded by ‘learning to learn’ practitioners as underpinning effective learning in the modern classroom. The article draws from social cognitive theory and achievement goal theory, including Zimmerman's criteria for appropriate goals, to suggest an alternative framework for goal or target setting – ‘well-formed outcomes’, a construct from the field of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). In comparison with SMART targets, the authors argue that well-formed outcomes offer a more rigorous and holistic approach, by taking greater account of the learner's identity, affective dimensions (feelings and emotions), social relations and values, as well as encouraging mental rehearsal. 相似文献

Drawing on Shoemaker and her colleagues’ five levels of analysis, i.e. the individual, routine, organization, institutional, and social system levels, this study examines news media’s post-election self-examination. This study uses natural language processing-related techniques to analyze a corpus of news articles published 10 days after the election day to understand the nature and distribution of identified problems and proposed solutions at the five levels. This study finds that news media's inward reflections focused more on the routine level while problems at individual and organizational levels were not prominently examined. Outwardly, more discussions were pointed to institutions that share the media ecosystem with the news industry. This study serves as an empirical contribution to metajournalistic discourse analysis. Findings reveal the discursive struggle to construct and reconstruct the journalistic field. 相似文献

近年来,在教育技术领域陆续开展了多项元研究工作,这些研究的一个共同特点就是人工建立一个分类体系,然后将研究样本纳入这些分类体系,这其实就是一个文本分类过程。目前,自然语言处理领域已有较为成熟的文本自动分类技术。但是已有的研究中却没有采用该技术。这与当前缺乏教育技术领域术语词典也有关系。文章以远程教育领域为例,以《开放教育研究》杂志2002年至2006年五年的题录信息为样本,在总结教育技术领域部分术语构成规则的基础上,研制出一种规则和统计相结合的算法来提取术语。测试结果表明,本算法术语识别的准确率为66.7%,召回率为76.7%,与现有的一些术语提取算法结果相近,可以较好的帮助研究者完成术语提取工作,并为及时发现教育技术领域的新术语带来可能。 相似文献

自动构建本体的关键是能提取出概念及概念之间的关系．为了能够提取概念及概念之间的关系,本文重点综合了汉语中“是”字陈述句的结构形式和意义,设计了关键词的形成及判断原则,从语义的角度构建分析“是”字陈述句的有限状态自动机和状态转换表．通过文本预处理及使用传统的分词算法,设计了提取从属语义关系的算法CSREA（Contain Semantic Relation Extraction Algorithm）,初步实现了从文本中提取建立本体所需的概念和从属语义关系。实例成功实现了从文本中提取概念及从属语义关系,表明了本文方法的有效性和可行性． 相似文献
