论民族语言、文化与隐喻

摘    要:语言是传播文化的载体。隐喻不仅只是一种修辞手段,而且还是一种人们“赖以生存的”思维方式。民族间文化背景知识与民族特定的思维方式关系密切,是隐喻的语言环境。语境的关键作用在于使人们的思维过程中形成认识习惯,即语主的决定要依赖“因地制宜”原则。因此,隐喻具有易变的“语境值”,即无恒定的“语义值”。人的思维是隐性的。隐喻概念化和隐喻能力的培养有助于活学活用特定的文化内涵。可以说文化背景知识是创造隐喻思维

On the relations between national language, culture and metaphor
Abstract:Language is a carrier of spreading a nation's culture. Metaphor is not merely a rhetorical means. It is a mode of thinking we live by. A nation's cultural background knowledge is closely tied to its given way of thinking, which forms context of situation. The main contextual effort is to get people into the habit of cognitive method in the course of their thinking, namely semantic representation basically relies on the rule of "adjusting measures to local conditions". Hence metaphor has its uncertain contextual value instead of perpetual semantic value. Man's mode of thinking is of recessiveness. The improvement of both conceptual metaphor and metaphorical competence can contribute to a better understanding and using of specific national cultural connotation. Cultural background knowledge, so to speak, is a rich source of stimulating metaphorical workings of mind while conceptual metaphor is a constant motive power to create new semantic meanings and develop the mode of thinking.
