| Abstract: | The causes for English-Chinese and Chinese-English mistranslation are many. However, the root cause of those typical mistakes committed by the most Chinese learners of English is most likely to be negative transfer of the mother tongue and Chinese thinking effects. This paper tries to probe into the genetic principle of the above-mentioned mistranslation phenomenon. |
