摘    要:介绍了原型理论的形成及发展,探讨了如何把原型理论用于大学英语词汇教学来提高学生学习英语的兴趣和自信。教师在大学英语词汇教学中要立足于基本词汇的讲授,特别要注重多义词以及它们的隐喻延伸运用,要教会学生如何在认知能力的基础上来学习英语词汇,如何通过认知能力找出词汇的典型词意和非典型词意之间的区别与联系,从而掌握更多的英语词汇。

Abstract:This article introduces the formation and development of the prototype theory briefly.It discusses how to apply the prototype theory to the English vocabulary teaching so that the students' interests and confidence can be enhanced.In the author's opinion,the basic English words should be taught in class and special attention should be paid to the polysemous words and their metaphorical extension usage.The teacher should teach the students how to learn the English vocabulary based on their cognitive ability ...
