| Abstract: | ERASMUS (European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students), sponsored by the European Union (formerly the European Community) primarily to promote student mobility between European countries, is a unique perspective to understand the trans-national cooperation in higher education in Europe. By demonstrating the background, present operation and relevant evaluations of the student mobility section of Erasmus, the article identifies its Europeanised feature, and points out the new measure lead by European Union in promoting the internationalisation of higher education besides the action scheme in question. |
