| 摘 要： | 夏、商、西周之时，极重“养老”。这里所说的“老”，当然不排除民间普通老人，但主要还是指那些在朝廷任职或已经致仕的贤德之“老”，他们多被安置在各级学校为“师”。由于当时学在官府，官师合一，“师”也就是官，尤其是天子之学——太学里的“师”，其实就是帝王的高级参谋，其官职更高、地位更尊。所以“养老”在很大程度上即意味着“尊贤”，这就是伯夷、叔齐、太公等听说“西伯善养老”即欣然前往归依的真正原因。

| Abstract: | In ancient China of Xia,Shang and Xizhou,the monarches attached great importance to Supporting the Aged.Although including the common old people,the Aged mainly means those worthy old court officials who were on the job or retired and most of them were arranged as teachers in schools.At that time,learning was controlled by government and teachers were officials,especially the teachers in Taixue-a school sponsored by central government,enjoyed high official position and prestige and they actually were the emperor's senior staff officers.So Supporting the Aged to a great extent means respecting the worthy, and this is the real reason why Boyi,Shuqi and Taigong instantly went to Zhou when they heard of its leader of Xibo did very well in supporting the aged.They by no means just went there for some food and to spend their old age happily. |
