| Abstract: | The tension created by confrontation and circulation is a basic structure in ancient Chinese poems. It exists in multiple levels such as tones, words, images and philosophy in a poem. It is the resource of artistic power of the poems. Su Shi＇ s famous ci poem Recalling the Past at the Red Cliff is run through with this kind of structure, which is one of the most important factors that making it a masterpiece through the ages. |
