| Abstract: | The euphemism is an effective language form made for the ideal results in the process of communication. The article tries to discuss the relationship between euphemism and the cooperative principle, the politeness principle and face-saving theory with the hope of using the euphemism correctly to realize the communication purpose and effects. |
